@@cyberdemon1702 yes but a lot of those were donations from the viewers.. the new fridge and the motor bike were gifts from some of the viewers. So it's hard to tell if they're actually getting anything besides what the fans gift them..

@@AugustusAsgeir where i'm from, jewish people had the lock on the classic deli. when i was coming up food was very ethnically situated. black people had southern style/soul food, italians had the pizza/pasta game, asian people had chinese food and jews had delis. it's not like today where white people make thai food and a mexican restaurant is run by koreans lol not a diss, just sayin.

@@sherribennington8812 Some places will sell a Reuben with slaw as an alternative for people who can't handle sauerkraut. Although not as good as a traditional Reuben it's still a very delicious sandwich.

I wrote something very similar! I think they take stock photos off the internet … same thing with those tamales This Reuben wasn’t even grilled properly.

They all seemed to love it, from what I was watching. And you have to remember that it's a small miracle that they could even get the ingredients for a sandwich like this! They don't exactly have a corner deli that they can pop into and pick up a pound of corned beef and fresh sauerkraut! I would assume that the chef had to make the corned beef himself... and probably the rest of the ingredients as well. They're in Pakistan, not Manhattan! Given the difficulty of making corned beef alone, I'd say they pulled this one off beautifully!

These are extremely poor people from very remote villages and maybe one or two from small cities - in a 2nd world (maybe even closer to 3rd world) country. They barely have access to clean drinking water, indoor plumbing or electricity! The "chef" they have is probably a retired cook from one of the larger (but certainly not big) cities like Lahore or Karachi. He probably worked in a small restaurant in a hotel for most of his career - and I'm not talking about a 3-star Michelin restaurant. And when I say hotel, I don't mean the Ritz Carlton or the Waldorf Astoria, either. Maybe do a little brushing up on what and who y'all are watching before y'all start judging and criticizing them or their lives! What exactly do you expect from this channel? They have limited access to the kinds of food or ingredients and even kitchen utensils and appliances that even the poor in 1st world countries have available to them. They also have strict dietary restrictions because of their faith and that's especially true when it comes to meat. Everything has to be halal certified, which if you're not familiar with, it's similar to kosher certified foods that Orthodox Jews are allowed to eat. If you have a problem with the pictures they use in their thumbnails not matching the dishes they're served, well then that's pretty damned petty IMHO. That's certainly not what this channel or the others like it are about. It's all about learning and understanding each other's cultures and traditions. It's about building bridges, not judging people or how they live. If you want 4 star culinary content, maybe you'd get more enjoyment out of watching reruns of Master Chef or the Food Network! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I see the sauerkraut in there...you can see the juice drip out on a few of the sandwiches.

It may be pickled cabbage in there rather than sauerkraut. Almost the same but theirs looks uncooked whereas sauerkraut is cooked.

@@SkitSkat674 looks like it might be pickled cabbage...which sauerkraut is both cooked and pickled, but if you just pickle it long enough it will almost get like sauerkraut...probably they didn't have the time to do it full strength.

@mokumboi19......do you know what the original differences were between Russian dressing and Thousand Island dressing ?? The base ingredients for both are essentially the same : mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet relish and a dash of Worcestershire sauce. When Russian dressing first came out - it also included a dash of horseradish and caviar ( ! ) the caviar being a nod to Russia. When Thousand Island dressing first came out - it included finely diced hard-boiled eggs. Other than these minor differences - they are almost the same.
