Eggs are not required for the majority of human beings (Inuit, the poor, etc. excluded). Eggs compromise human health, cause food-borne illnesses, whilst, in modern egg production, enforcing horrible living conditions on sentient animals (the laying hens). Meanwhile, those who are hatched as males, are killed just hours after emerging from their shells. Usually by being ground up alive, stacked into garbage bags alive and suffocating/being crushed or just pitched into dumpsters (again, alive) till they dehydrate, are crushed, or die of starvation. Correction: A Greek Salad should not contain anything more than sliced tomato, cucumber, onions, olives, feta cheese (NOT any other white cheese copy), a good drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (NOT on the side) and oregano - and of course mix well before you eat it. Otherwise you will miss the whole point - the smooth blending of olive with feta cheese and vegetables, thus being a dry and boring/regular salad. Also any other vegetables like salad leafs, carrots, etc just ruin the experience. PS. I can't stress it enough: Olive oil and oregano IN the salad is a MUST!

Especially true for the greek salad, who eats feta cheese on its own? Because while I'm sure there's someone who does, this is not the norm. And feta cheese as far as I remember, would be a bit sour and slightly salty, too, if you ate it by itself. But when it's mixed wirh the other ingredients in the salad, it's really nice. 1) The article says MSP is announced for 23 crops (including sugarcane) but this is not exactly true. MSP is announced for 25 crops (including sugarcane). The MSP of two crops "Toria" and "De-husked Coconut" [which has not been included in the article] is derived from the MSP of "Mustard" and "Copra" respectively. 2) You all know that even if MSP of 25 crops is announced, Govt. procures mostly wheat and rice and to a certain extent coconut, pulses. It is practically not possible for Govt. to procure all the crops. If Govt procures all the 25 crops at MSP which will be a huge financial burden then the farmers who are cultivating Fruits, Vegetables, livestock which consists of almost 45% of the value and for which there does not exist any MSP, these farmers will also shift to those 25 crops. And all the diversification of crops that Govt is trying will go for a toss. And this whole procurement will be a huge financial burden PLUS the it will lead to a huge corruption also which is already there in MSP procurement of wheat and rice. And trust me, all the crops and all over India, NO GOVERNMENT (PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE) will ever be able to procure with all its budgetary resources. IMPOSSIBLE. And if govt will procure only few crops in some regions then all the farmers in that region will move only to those few crops and you know what problem Punjab and Haryana is facing. There is possible chance of desertification of the land because of huge water extraction, pestisides, fertilizers and same cropping pattern of wheat and rice. 3) The best way is give farmers monthly income based on their per acre land and remove the subsidies and ask them to produce as per the market demand. This will be the best solution in terms of diversification, exports will also increase and soil degradation problem and water will also get resolved. So, govt should increase the amount of PM-KISAN (and may link with per acre basis) and remove subsidies. This is the best possible solution.

Or in case of potatoe, egg, flesh (bologna), hering or nudle etc salad (everything mixed with some chopped pickled cucumbers and possibly some peas, all drowned in mayonnaise) as the filler side or the actual main dish e.g. egg salad on rye bread with roast beef (main) or potatoe salad with grilled meats/ sausages (filler)
