I had the same question for the same reason! I asked my friend about it and he was able to enlighten me. I'm not sure how to spell it but phonetically it sounds something like "kya ba day".

@@lauriraudsepp5676 you are very close! It’s “kya baat hai”. It’s hard to translate directly because “kya” means what, “baat” i suppose could be translated as “thing”, and “hai” means “thing”. But it combined does stand for amazing, what a great thing etc.
