She was declared "The national Treasure of Norway", by king and country. People in Norway adore her. Today musicians in the whole world have a stupendous amount of respect for this woman. My comments on Suspicious Minds: The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - the preteen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette and the Piano Player is Rob Christie Director of the Republic Records Los Angeles Studio which is the record label that Angelina has been signed with since she was 14 years old. Her first US Album is expected to be released this year (2023) after she finishes High School.

What fun! After I first saw Angelina on AGT (January 6, 2020) singing her arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody, I started listening to all her videos back to back to back. I didn't want to stop. I crashed and continued the next day and the next. I listen to her everyday. I never tire of hearing her voice. It brings joy, peace, comfort and truth, etc. Goosebumps on top of goosebumps. For Back-to-Black Angelina is indeed reading lyrics - but the reason is that to make the song more age-appropriate she rewrote most of the lyrics to the song - she started the day before the session and finished on the way to the studio. So, yes, those are her own handwritten lyrics and notes on the music stand in front of her.

I grew up with parents listening to Jazz and Blues when I wanted to listen to rock. It took 50 years and this amazing girl to appreciate style.

She was 16 in the "I Have Nothing" video and in "Suspicious Minds" as well. Adele's "Easy On Me" she was only 15. Her debut album drops sometime this year under Republic Records.

What a great, great listen to what Angelina does. And your video presentation was masterful and when combined with Angelina's magnificence this was a sensational video. The 33:23 flew by. Your comments about Angelina were right on. When she sings she goes into a zone, a space which she describes as beautiful and you can see and listen to the results of that phenomenon 24/7 and never tire of it. Her wonderful and loving family has shielded her during her early years so that she can finish her education and have a life resembling what a normal teenager would experience. When she did sign with Republic Records, a giant in the industry about 2 years ago they had to agree to certain conditions on how to 'handle' Angelina before they get the nod that she is ready to dedicate herself fulltime to her career. The original lyrics of "Back To Black" were not appropriate for her age so she rewrote it, finishing on the way to the studio, to sing as a tribute to another of her favorites that passed too early, Amy Winehouse. My Nf brother! This was an unexpected surprise for me today, but I loved every minute of it. And those goosebumps never stop for me with her! In this case, "two first names" is literally true: she apparently went by "Jordan" (instead of "Angelina") when she was younger. If you actually watched the rest of the first video here (the part not included in this reaction), the older woman who hugged her (the one standing next to the guy with the frizzy har) called her "Jordan". Most of the earliest YT videos that feature her (i.e., that were actually uploaded before she went on NGT) identified her as "Jordan" in their titles (some have since been renamed). And a 2013-11-21 FB post by her grandmother Mery referred to Angelina as "the singer Jordan Astar".

My comments on Angelina's I Put A Spell On You video - Angelina was 9 years old in that performance - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes and it is read by the bandleader. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. I have listened to her every day for 8 years never could do that with any other artist. She still manages to surprise. How will she arrange it, jazzy or straight, country(NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART Miley Cyrus) to jazzy version of Michael Jacksons Billy Jean. Opening a jazz concert with a Labyrinth song or at 10 in a concert with Alan Walker, Norah Jones or for Quincy Jones' 80th birthday concert.

She's a singer/ songwriter who's arranged over 180 covers and 5 originals, all since the age of 7. Angelina began singing at 18 months old. At 2, she began teaching herself how to sing, focusing primarily on the jazz masters of decades gone by. These are artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James. She's also influenced by Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, and Adele, to name a few. She's also been said to be the girl of 1,000 voices. Yet even though we can hear the phrasing and style she puts in the songs, it's always Angelina that we hear. At 7 years old, she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. She was the last to audition. The judges had no idea who she was or what she could do. They saw a diminutive mussy haired, barefooted girl with her teeth still growing in. For her audition, she performed "Gloomy Sunday" from Billie Holiday. On TV-2, they've reported over 14 million views of this performance. This does not take into account the many hundreds of reactors showing this audition to millions more. Needless to say, Angelina went on to win the 2014 season of NGT shortly after her 8th birthday. The family was bombarded with requests for performances, interviews, and record label offers. They turned down 90% of the requests, as they insisted that Angelina should enjoy a normal childhood. That didn't stop Angelina from performing at select engagements around the world, singing for Heads of State, and even Barack Obama. She's spent time and worked with musicians such as Quincy Jones and Alan Walker. She first appeared on American television, The View, at 8 years old. Angelina auditioned for America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 years old. She made it just up to the final selection of the final 5 when she was dropped from the competition. There's still some controversy about her not advancing in the competition with some attributing it to her refusal to sign with an AGT affiliated label. At 14, Angelina signed with Republic Records. Republic gave her complete artistic control as well as control over the performances she would make. She turned 17 on January 10, 2023, and will graduate from high school after the spring semester. From then on, she will embark on her full-time professional career. She's been working closely with Republic on her first album under their label. She released one track on 5 May 2023 as a video.

the ELVIS song she sang at a much slower speed than the original version, that is what ANGELINA is known for, taking every song she sings and makes it hers !!! after her audition on AGT the band QUEEN saw it and loved her version so much they GAVE that version to her. it is now known as the ANGELINA JORDAN version !!!

Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them. Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.” From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

Angelina was around 6 when she met the other young girl and she is why Angelina doesn’t wear shoes when she performs .
