Man I was stuck on that base defence (mission 13) for so long back in the day. I think I even stopped playing and came back to it years later before I beat it and could see how the story ended. Great video, keep it up 👍
Same for me, the music from that mission legit triggers my PTSD, I was stuck literally for years and it still gives me some problems today on medium difficulty, I can't imagine when I'll get there in hard difficulty one day.
Yeah, the events leading up to the Tribes setting is *really* whacky. In-universe, it actually started with an alien invasion in the 90s that resulted in humans fighting each other and an alien species called the Kullrathians in gladiatorial bloodsport for the amusement of said aliens.This was also the story of Hunter Hunted, a sidescroller by Dynamix in '96. Yeah, whacky. Excellent video btw. I was going down a Tribes rabbit hole when I found it.
Tribes Vengeance and Tribes Ascend are just some of the fondest memories I have. It is a damn shame that Tribes Ascend is officialy dead right now. At least there are some private servers, so that's something.

Love Tribes but never got into the skiing aspect. in the original game that was solved with a mod called "Ultra". So, I only got so far in Vengeance. In Tribes 1 people would join a Ultra server just to say it took no skill to play, then we preceded to hand these people their a... a few times until they left, lol.
The FOV of this ReVengeance mod is too big by default, for the single player mode. It could be lowered in the game files or by enabling the console in the game and entering "FOV 115". The default FOV in ReVengeance looks ugly. Like here 11:34 when the camera rotates. The sides are too much stretched.
