Being Honest: This is the first time I heard the National Anthem of Afghanistan 🙏 I wont lie: Close similarity to Indian National Anthem. But Indian National Anthem adds Geographical location to it.. Afghanistan adds it ethnic people to their Anthem ✔ Thanks to my fav. RU-vid Video Channel for bringing this wondeful Experience. To be fair, the Indian anthem uses ethnic identity too actually. "Dravida" is used instead of mentioning southern states by name. "Sindh" is also mentioned, even though that region didn't join India after partition.

This was such a beautiful episode. Your channel reminds me of this story called 'Kabuliwala'. It is a widely read story in India. It's the story of an Afghan who comes to sell things in India and strikes a friendship with a little 5 year old girl in Calcutta. Kabuliwala was written in Bengali and non Bengalis read the translated version of it. I don't know how well it is read in Afghanistan but I'd really like to recommend that story to you guys. It's a beautiful story. Also, Kabuliwala is written by Rabindranath Tagore, the same person who wrote our national anthem. Do read the story if it's available in the languages that you and your wonderful team speak. Lots of love and best wishes!❤️

There is a lovely country Text: Adam Oehlenschläger, 1823 Melody: H. E. Krøyer, 1835 There is a lovely country, it stands with wide beeches near the salty oyster beach near the salty oyster beach. It meanders in hill, valley, it's called old Denmark, and this is the hall of Freya, and it is the hall of Freya. There sat in ancient times the armor-clad giants, rested from strife rested from strife. Then they went on to the enemy, now rest their legs behind the mound stone, behind the mound stone of the mound. That country is still beautiful, for blue sea belts, and the leaves are so green and the leaves are so green. And noble women, beautiful maidens and men and healthy journeymen inhabit the islands of the Danes, inhabit the islands of the Danes. Greetings drot and homeland! Greet each one a Dane citizen, who works what he can who works what he can! Our old Denmark must survive, as long as the book mirrors its top in the wave blue, its top in the wave blue. The Afghani anthem sounds like the soundtrack to a cool foreign movie while the credits are rolling. Some awesome action-drama movie where the hero is defeating the enemy left and right. He's highly regarded as a well-respected Captain who has seen many battles. One night, as he takes some prisoners, he spots the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. He is smitten, and doesn't even want to take her captive, except to have every opportunity to gaze upon her beautiful face, long flowing sable locks of hair, but he feels terrible, seeing the pain in her eyes, the anger in her heart. She is the enemy though, but even so, he's wracked with guilt and he secretly falls in love at first sight with this woman from the enemy's lands. He treats her and her parents whom have also been captured, far better than is required. He begins to soften his heart, sneaking them extra food and drink, blankets, and even has civil but brief conversations with the father. The beautiful daughter sees this, and she also grows slightly fond, if not still cautiously optimistic about their situation. He admits to the father how he feels, and the father demands that if truly loves her, he will help them escape. Together, they all sneak off to be together in some neutral country, with him abandoning his post because he refuses to kill or further imprison the people of the woman he loves. They have a beautiful, but simple wedding, the father and mother are happy and see that not all foreigners are evil warmongers. Damn, now I wanna see that movie. Somebody go make it, and gimme my scriptwriting fee.

Wow, the Danish and Swedish national anthems are beautiful. The emphasis for those songs is on the beauty and timelessness of the land paralleling the character of their citizens. It makes sense given the storied histories of those lands to focus on the landscape and national pride. You can't just pick one era and devote an anthem to lands that have seen so much. America though was created through war, so themes of conflict and bravery in the face of adversity along with looking to the future are fitting. It's a revolutionary ballad. India's national anthem seems like a middle ground. We see the motif of landscapes and natural beauty alongside conflict. It makes sense given the country's tumultuous history and how it is a land built from many. Interestingly, it reads similar to a prayer and highlights the country's deep spiritual roots. A fine mix of themes.

Fun fact. The swedish national anthem was not created for the nation as a anthem. It was just a song that some guy made after he visited lappland. Later it simply became so popular that it started to be sung at national events and since sweden technecly did not have a national anthem it just Kinda became the anthem even tho there is no part of the constetution that says that it is. And no it is not a song ment to be sung by troops, it was a poem ment to describe the northern swedish landscape. (Also worth you note is that they never say the Word sweden in the song, they only say the north)

You need to look at the context for the time and place, and setting these songs were written in. Both Denmark and Swedens were written in the former half of the 19th century, in a time of national romanticism, meanwhile both countries, and especially Denmark were at a low point in international influence, due to various factors, and there was a sense of looking towards days of old, and of common nordic roots, panscandinavism was quite fashionable then. So they both praise the traditional home of the commoners, in a very idyllisised version. Indias and Afghanistans were both made much later, India not long before gaining independence, and Afghanistans after the overthrow of Taliban, both having a multitude of traditionally conflicting ethnic groups, and both songs reflects a desire to bind them together by mentioning as many as possible by name, and some key things they have in common from their long history. The US one is based upon the war of 1812 and didn't become official until over a century later, it's nationalistic tone, works well as a rallying cry to come together, especially in times of crisis, and WWI, the great depression and then WWII definitely is a cluster of crises, where a choice to use something like this makes sense, especially with the war of 1812 basically being the decisive war to ultimately establish the US for good.

I am not sure if we were able to see more from this channel seeing what is happening in Afghanistan now. I hope that things there become normal and we continue seeing more from this channel.

Hope one day to be able to return to Afghanistan without the body armor and a rifle. It is truly a beautiful place

This channel is like a hidden gem on RU-vid that offers nothing but pure joy. I wish great success for your hardwork. I wish these lovely and innocent people of Afghanistan find peace and happiness. India is always with you. Jaya he.
