Yeah very good Job, i have the xtreme 3 and for me is the better portable speaker of the world and i sale in my country harman kardon, sony, bose and jbl speaker so i know what im talking about, xtreme is a real beast

I had little "more" expected maybe. But against the Bose Revolve and the Earfun UBoom the Stormbox Pro sounds better. Although I am not completely pleased with the sound setting (way too much midbass boost and upperbass boost with XBass ON, nearly like the UE-cans) I ordered a second unit. Bass could still be more balanced but in stereo it sounds really really nice. To be honest I hoped for this sound from one Stormbox Pro but not from two. But, and this is the point; it plays smooth (not perfect but really good) 360 degree and it is ~1Kg. So that much more can't get out of this thing. I like the sound from one and I am impressed from the sound of two units paired in stereo. Hopefully Tribit will release a firmware update with "corrected" frequency response in bass....
Did you break in your speakers? Makes a huge difference! The whole sound profile improves significantly with at least a 30 or more hr break in period!! Try it and take note. My 2 stormbox pros are killing it after breaking them in for 2 days!!
@@johnpierce4742 Do you have the latest Hardware Version with App Support? I had 3 devices from the very first batch and sold 2 of them just keep the third because it has a charging issue (stops after 90%). All three devices struggles in bass performance when it comes to clarity. All three units distorts above the whole volume spectrum. It sounds as if the membrane would knock on the cylinder inside what spreads the sound 360. Also the sub causes a disturbing noise on all three units. No matter if Xsound on or off, also with poweramp 31 band parametric EQ I wasn't able to get clear bass out of this thing. I have all Tribit models they've ever released but this is the worst. Only option is to cut off bass completely minus 6db or even more in XBass Off mode to prevent distortion but this case even then XSound Go sounds fuller. Another problem is the huge volume steps from 1 to 4-5. Don't quite understand this setting, but unfortunately Tribit also messed this up on their Soundbar. No option to fix this. In short: The Pro impresses with definition and separation, has some strange peaks in mids and highs but the bass distortion is a KO. Maybe they fixed this in the latest version.
I think the Charge five has an upper hand in both clarity of the vocals and bass wise..and to me that music if i can hear the vocals, mids, highs and that crisp bass...what else would i look for in a speaker..and thanks DLX for that video comparison
I have two stormbox pros and have been using them for almost two months now and can tell you naysayers that once broken in, they sound absolutely incredible!
@@gowthame9230they meant the drivers etc. Just like a vehicle, were you will still need to break it in to get most out of it(the engine etc.) In speakers are it's drivers instead. Loosening up those driver spiders and suspension, to make those coils travel easier from its surface. All of those could really give speakers sound it's best. In my experience on my charge 5, it sounds a lot better now compared to when it was new out of the box. Bass sounds deeper and louder. Treble sounds more refined to me too. Hope this helps:DD
This is only my own opinion ,im a sale assistant in one of the electronic store..there are so many newly brand of speaker and heasphone in the market now a day, but there is only few brands i can tell that stands out base on my experience... Sound quality Build Durability Battery Friendly use.. JBL/Bose/ULTIMATE EARS..Period Other brand,all s**** because they dont have over all quality...Brand matters at the end of the day...BTW THANKS FOR THE HONEST REVIEW,I ALWAYS RECOMMEND YOUR CHANEL TO MY CUSTOMERS...GOD BLESS
I'd say the Stormbox Pro has better mids... but that's about all. There's definitely better options for the price. Too high of a price coming from a brand like Tribit with their reputation.
Most of my tribit products break within 6 months and they you become dead to their support team. So if it was my money I would buy the JBL simply for a reliable support.
I record music in a recording studio i have a pretty good ear and know what i want in a portable speaker so a good all around sound for me is always a must(for music listening I need a portable speaker to take with me when i travel. It has to be portable clear mids and highs and balanced bass response. Loud enough to fill with sound a small to medium room, To my ears in this comparison the JBL charge 5 is the clear winner.
I get it, Tribit wants a piece of the "mainstream" pie, that's where the money is. But Tribit have been producing speakers almost as good (some would say just as good) speakers for the last few years for half the price, so charging over $100 is a big jump! Is it really worth double the MaxSound Plus/StormBox??
Let me be honest, I have the two of them, so pretty much the difference is that the charge 5 it is louder, and has a bit more bass than the charge 4 and plus it has better highs
The Charge 5 is clear winner here, it goes deeper in the bass, and also produces lesser distortion. Although I have to say most portable speakers from Tribit lineup produce better sound quality than those of JBL's but this isn't one of them.
There are different models though, like the flip 5 had CS, GG, TL. Which do u have of the Charge 5? Under the flap might say or the cereal number on the box
I have 2 motion boom plus, but sometimes you want a 360 sound because if you keep moving around you have to keep repositioning the directional speaker. I had a megaboom that I could setup anywhere and never had to worry about turning it in a different direction.
