Tribute to Miss Grace, New Cirrus SR22T G6 Delivery and First Flight Using Oxygen

After 3 great years of flying Miss Grace, in December 2018 it was time to accept delivery of the brand new 2018 Cirrus SR22T G6.
In this episode experience the rare excitement of accepting a brand new airplane and then having to bring her home.
We flew her at 17,000 feet with oxygen on and TKS fluid for anti-icing. Eventually Boca Raton was on hold due to traffic. Make sure to catch the direct crosswind landing in the new bird!

I’m building a velocity so I get the experience the joy of purchasing parts and slowly seeing it come together. Different then walking into a hanger and seeing the final product.

@@shannonstewart4792 Thank you for the encouraging words, but I know my spending habits and how many years it would take me to put money on the side to afford even a simple Cessna 172, including having the income to maintain it. That will never be within my financial capabilities. It would take me over 20 years of saving up and by that time I will be in my 60's.

CONGRATULATIONS Niko! The new plane is BEAUTIFUL! I can only imagine how great that "new" smell is in the cockpit there. So wonderful when EVERYTHING is new inside and out - no scuff marks, no wrinkles, no fading - all new! Engine is ready for thousands of hours of service. Awesome!! 😎 Was there a significant difference in take-off power compared to Miss Grace, or is the turbo only noticeable at higher altitudes? Lots of great memories with Miss Grace, I can imagine. I've been along virtually for many of them over the past year and more. It's been a great ride, but we're all looking forward to 2019 with Two Sierra Zulu! 👍👍

So sad to see Miss Grace go. Lots of memories will be remembered I guess. But that makes room for lots of new adventures in your new Cirrus SR22 Turbo. Have fun, fly safely and maybe one day you may bump into Miss Grace.

I've only recently started following Niko, and even I felt sad seeing Miss Grace go. But this plane is amazing! I don't know what Niko does for a living, but the man made me into a Cirrus fan: he deserves the new ride!

You always remember your first..always, but that sure is a nice follow up! And it never fails..when you go to pick or, or deliver a airplane, you Always run into weather! But that's what your instrument rating is for, and with that wonderful avionics suite in that beautifully done plane, it sure is a lot easier to handle.
