Tribute to NYC about 9/11 ~ Higher and Higher (Song by Howard Huntsberry from Ghostbusters II)

Hello!
For them who's watching this video, this is a Tribute for New York City about the 10th birthday of 9/11.
Why did I use this scene from Ghosbuster II?
Only because, I'd prefer a message of Hope with this funny and classic movie from the great director Yvan Reitman, and also with this song Higher & Higher performed by Howard Huntsberry.
And because, I'm french, I thought that what Peter Venkman (the Great Bill Murray) says "She's French!" about the Statue of Liberty was a wink from our country : France.
Hope you enjoy this video with nostalgia...

When I saw the Statue of Liberty appear above the museum ceiling and smash the glass window, it made me and still makes me smile and shed tears of joy. It feels like the forces of Liberty and Freedom were standing up to tyranny and striking a critical blow against it. I seem to imagine Lady Liberty saying defiantly "Surprise motherfuckers! Tyranny shall not win this day! For America! For liberty! For freedom!" before smashing the ceiling window.

Every time I hear the Jackie Wilson version, images of a dancing spring-loaded toaster and the Statue of Liberty walking down Broadway(?) pops in my head. It brings a smile every time.

Well, he did it again! By he I mean Howard Huntsberry. All this time I thought that it was really Jackie Wilson that sang Higher & Higher in this movie. But this isn't the first time I heard of Howard Huntsberry. The first time was when I was blown away by his performance of Jackie Wilson's "Lonely Teardrops" in the movie LaBamba. I always wanted to hear him sing Higher & Higher and after all this time it was right here all along. Man, that should tell you how good Howard Huntsberry is.

This scene is one of the best. It always gets me emotional. If we could only have a lady of liberty to spread love and peace all over the world. Could you imagine? As Louis Armstrong said 'What a Wonderful World' :)

10th 'birthday' would imply 9/11 was a good thing. The proper term would be 'anniversary'

The poster is French and some words translate strangely. Try to say "I'm wet!" by standard translations and it could be understood as "I am humid." in a different language.
