Might try this. Keep the double die, but count starting from the last gun used which is taken off the table to guarantee the same gun ain’t chosen and keep it from being easy to see/expect.

Thanks for the video. I have done something similar with my brother in law, and my nephew. Not really trick shots,as much as potential scenarios. Mossberg 590A1, POF AR with red dot, Glock 19, and Mauser 308 bolt action with scope. The shots could be at 7, 25, 50 and 100 yards on paper. Hostage, head shots, center mass, and 10" plates at 100 only. Also random time pars. More fun than darts and reality check.

Great work, love the episodes and this one brought back some memories. Back when companies were less pc,we had a gun club at work and the company offset the range fees. One day the local range “hot shots” near Atlanta shut down have the lanes for us and hosted a small event. They taped numbers on the bottom of their rentals, we gave a 10 donation which got us 50 rounds, a tip to the staff and a draw of a number. We then fired a preplanned script like 3 yards 5 rounds weak hand, 18 yards 10 rounds one handed etc…. I drew a Glock sub compact and worked well in all the tasks. Back then we went from like a PPK to a P220 to even a Gold Cup. Lot a fun and thanks for allowing me the trip down memory lane. Keep it up!

Nerd alert but this is the perfect setup for marksmanship Dungeons and Dragons. The story is linear like the Oregon Trail games and every "Event" in the game is another shooting challenge. What an awesome idea.

My son, my Brother In-law and I came up with a game we called "Gun Golf" The targets were a 10" steel plate and a 5" steel plate. We started at 100 yards and we each had 5 tries to make a hit with a Mosin Nagant standing, unsupported. Your score was the number of shots it took to get a hit. However if you were able to hit the 5" plate you got to skip the next TWO shooting stations because of how difficult it was. We then moved up to about 80 yards. from here you shot again standing unsupported however this time you used an AR-15 or your choice of rifle again your score is how many shots it took you to get a hit with a max of 5 shots, however if you were able to hit the 5" target you didn't have to shoot at the next shooting station. This continues, moving forward. You can make it however many stations you want to make it or make the targets smaller for those with a higher "handicap" . We moved forward about 10 to 15 yards each time. After you get to within 50 yards you switch to pistol, the rules are the same if you hit the 5" plate you get to skip the next shooting station. The person with the lowest score wins, Thus "Gun Golf". We played this game all day to the point that my neighbor (Who lived about a 1/4 mile away through the woods) got upset with the noise and set off a Train Horn. Yeah he couldn't just pick up the phone and ask us to stop, nope he hooked up a giant train horn and left it blaring. Which I'm sure bothered him more then us. The funny thing is we were done shooting by then. Pretty childish if you ask me. Anyway the game was a blast you really don't burn a ton of ammo and it helps you work on your fundamentals. You can set it up on any range that you can move forward on or if you have multiple shooting areas you could set it up more like a golf course. But if you have neighbors be sure you have suppressors.

I've got some videos of range days with my buddies. I should get those uploaded. Mostly it is me showing off my collection to people who have never ran the unique pieces I own.

I really enjoyed this. For fun, how about similar format but with the target always being to clear the plate rack in the fastest time… guns need to be properly sighted in and steel sights only. The draw will determine the distance…

Good that you did a cross over vid. It helps each other get new subscribers. Plus the cutting up is great entertainment. Prone roll over shoot, roll over shoot, roll over shoot would be cool. But you guys might get dirty. Or go from 12g to 22lr mini revolver back to 12g in under a certain time.

Love this idea. Suggestion: Use a phone app to "roll" next time. Chances to roll a 2 & 16 are very rare with 2 8 sided dice. That or put the "easy" guns in the low and high numbers.

I'm a math and a D&D guy. You guys totally screwed up with the dice. With two d8s, you will roll 9 the most, 8 and 10 the second most, and so on. And you can NEVER roll 1. If you had 16 guns, you needed to roll a d20, and re-roll on a 17-20.
