The different styles present here are very interesting. Most of these guys have a lot of speed but the kicks themselves seem "flicky". Of course, they're tricking, not trying to take someone's head off, so this is to be expected. Brian looks like he could hurt somebody if he connected. He just has that powerful look to him, even though he doesn't have the same speed as the other guys. Like I said, the difference in styles is very interesting to see.
That's why I do not gymnastics tricking. The kicks and form look disgusting and ruins the art. Taekwondo tricking where they require you to break boards and judge based on form in competition looks so much more clean and beautiful.
i wonder if you can do balancing spin kicks balancing on training weights rod wich would roll sideways i think it makes them think we could offer the criminals either way reincarnation or forever dispersal of their atoms not reassembled
I have never ever tried to do leg split.. but after watching your videos ..I think I should try this.. So can I do leg split in 24 age..? Is it possible?
I train at my gym as well, but it's not as cool as training in a fully-kitted gym such as this one, with specific equipment and with other people who do the same form of training
From the looks of tricking, if you don't know what you're doing, you can EASILY mess up your ankles. How do you guys prevent that from happening? The way you guys land, it's like you're messing your ankles up like crazy lol, but obviously not.
I'm from the older generation.. we trained on grass a lot which makes your muscles stronger. New gen trains on plyo and in trampolines which sometimes gives kids good twisting technique but not enough strength to handle sketchy landings. To answer your question.. 1. You drill your prerequisites to the point where you minimize the risk and fear of the new trick/combo . 2. You could do extra conditioning like weightlifting. (I've been doing this for years but I'm still not sure if it's necessary. I think it's sufficient to just trick. Just tricking a lot trains the muscle you want, but if you enjoy the gym and want to make your body stronger it's a nice addition.)
I actually don't do any tricking or anything. I just think it looks cool and seeing how you guys land unnaturally seemed painful so I was curious on how you could prevent that. Possibly apply those exercises/techniques in all scenarios like sports. I was close in twisting my ankle a few times while playing basketball. However, I've slightly dislocated my knee during basketball and since then, I've been kind of prone to closely messing my knee up. I'd like to condition my knees and ankles to prevent any future accidents.
Okay let me split those up for you.. 1. ''Seeing how you guys land unnaturally seemed painful so I was curious on how you could prevent that''? I would challenge the assumption actually. To be honest, these kids are landing wild but that's by no means how everyone tricks. It's a choice you have to make as a tricker individually. Do I take more risk but progress faster, or do I drill my pre reqs (tricks that make up the thing you're trying to do) so that my desired trick attempt becomes as safe as possible. When trickers are in the first category, we refer to that as landing 'sketchy' or 'clutch' landings. While I do respect everyone's style, I don't think this is something you should take away from tricking. They way I see it, sketchy stuff usually happens when you try things you're not ready for. ( Like doing a triple full without having dub down consistently etc.) If done right, every single one of our landings should be possible to do, by YOU, right at this moment. Just jump up, twist 180 or 360 degrees and land on 1 leg, 2 legs, etc.. We may combine tricks in a weird way, but our landings are very simple and natural if you just focus on the landing and look past the difficult trick. 2. '' I'd like to condition my knees and ankles to prevent any future accidents.'' This is something that is very common amongst those trickers who progress fast, but also take the biggest risks. This is also when most begin to take conditioning seriously. As for you, I am no doctor but I'll give you my 2 cents. I believe doctors give advice for 'normal' people. That means that they often underestimate what kind of recovery is possible. (also take into account that most doctors aren't current in their field because it's just a job and not their abslute passion.) That said, I think it's possible to heal better than you expect though it won't likely be at 100% until we develop better technologies to heal damaged ligaments/tendons (prob only 10-15 yrs away, maybe sooner.) I believe you should make your muscles strong and tight so that they can do some of the work that your ligaments are supposed to do. Since your ankles and knees are part of your legs, you can rehab/prehab them on leg day (assuming you workout). If you use a push pull leg split, you can train your legs twice a week. I suggest you do exercises like, calf raises, leg press, calf raises on leg press, squats, front squats, deadlifts, romanian deadlifts, v ups, leg flutters. You wanna do about 4-6 exercises with about 4 sets of 5 reps. If 5 reps is easy add some weight, too hard, decrease the load. Now what is very important for you, is that since you're injured you have to listen to your body extremely well. So when you're unsure, better to go too light then too heavy. Make sure that everything is always with perfect form, (since you're there for rehab not to get re-injured). Also if your ankle or knee is bothering you, don't be afraid to just tape it up before playing since your making a lot of unanticipated movements. Hope this helps :)
al good and everything but come on there is no time for EVERYTING , ask dan green , thor , big z to do a split and to go HEAVY on weights . cheers for the channel
Great flexibility but the tricks and dicks do nothing for me. I would be more impressed someone holding a 180 degree side kick then doing several multiple kicks before putting down their foot ie John Chung, Jean Frenette
