Sometimes we all huff our own farts. It's only a problem when we huff another man's farts. You are in the dangerous realm of huffing another man's farts.
"...please don't overdue [hi-hat rolls]; it can get annoying very quickly." YES! Someone agrees with me! It's literally EVERY mainstream trap song! Like from me, for sure! 😊
As a newbie, and total amateur...I know my beats will never reach the next level because my mind gets blown by the level of detail the guys who know what they’re doing get to...not until this video did it ever occur to me to work with the hi hats this way. Nice vid..short and educational!
Dope to see that you actually take time to dissect each section of a song.. something that most producers don’t take time to do. Lovin’ the new channel logo too!
You should try to make a beat in 10 BPM. I know it probably sounds insane, but if you quarter time it correctly its a really fun and interesting challenge. 😃
This is why I'm jealous of FL users. They get an entire piano roll for each sound on the drum (not even counting the different variations, such as the different types of kicks) whereas even all my drum kits put together can't give me a full piano roll's worth of each sound.
@@ea9510 I would, but TBH, I had a hard time understanding FL. Plus I can't pay for any of the add-ons, as I have no method of payment. Those two factors proved to be what decided which DAW I use.
What program do you use? Sounds like you need a good sampler plug in. I use reaper and it comes with one. It is a place to program and assign samples to controller keys. Most of them allow you to send each instrument to its own track where you can vary the pitch with automation or a variety of pitch bent samples.
I use Soundation (basically a website knock off of GarageBand), keegan huff. There are no such plugins for Soundation, to my knowledge. That being said, all my work is MIDIs; with one exception, I haven't used any samples at all in about 7 or 8 months.
Can you make a video on the overlooked fl studio features? Like i had no idea the “cut itself” feature existed so if you could give us some info on the less obvious features that would be crazy useful🙌 thanks!
I respect what you do man but honestly you’re making it too easy for these kids. This is stuff I had to learn all on my own over 10+ years. You’re giving away jewels here man
Concise, informative, and simplistic. An excellent "how to do" allowing me to get right back to my creative flow without the "what to do" buffer that causes said creativity to second guess and deviate. I'm 50 years old and just beginning to produce musick (sic). I don't have a lot of time for fodder, or unsolicited input. I would have gladly sat 60 mins for the information in this 4 min video. That said; back to the canvass. Thank you, again. TooTall H*Inc Musick
Thanks for this! Your videos are becoming a great source of inspiration to me, and I'm becoming more than excited to work on my music. You make it seem so easy and fun, and I'm learning a lot!
That intro though. I was thinking like this shit must be fire dudes too shy to talk on the mic but he's confidently uploading tutorial videos on youtube.
You can also split the closed hi hats to two different channels and the pan one a lil to the left and the other to the right from the centre. It gives a wider and more realistic sound, like as if the drummer is hitting the hi hat with both drum sticks.
