Your content is always so great! Highly detailed and delivered in a calm/soothing manner. Your tutorial series is what eased me into aviation. I've since started and am nearing the finish of my PPL!
Hi Squirrel, welcome back to the world of madness. I really enjoy watching your MSFS videos. I noticed near the beginning of the video that whenever you looked behind the aircraft the stairs fell over. I don't know whether that is a glitch or it's meant to happen and if the developers know about it. Keep up the good work. 👍
You have to follow that yellow line in the tivat airport and stop at the yellow dot on the line! You would be slightly facing backwards! Hope this helps
This game is stunning. I'm so happy that I live in an age where flying is actually a common activity. My only comment to the video is I'd use Co-Pilot ATC and AI Traffic because it's fun & adds a lot to the experience.
The reason for the flashing amber L/DEV and V/DEV is because you have the landing system (LS) on. LS should only be used for an ILS approach. When off, you will get lateral and vertical deviation bars.
at Tivat, follow the taxi line around and park the nosewheel on the dot, it is okay for the engines to be facing the building that's how it's done in real life, at a 45 degree angle toward the taxiway
To start with, welcome back, Squirrel. Really wasn't the same without you. I picked up my Fenix and my first flight was a howler from DNCA to DNMM in Nigeria. I couldn't get the altitude hold to keep me at 32-thou. Ended up rocketing all the way to 40k. Then the aircraft missed first the waypoint going off on a freewheeler ride up towards the north of my country until I remembered to MCDU and steer it using Direct-to back towards Lagos. My landing however wasn't so bad even though a little off-centre. But I had fun and intend to give it another go. Which is why I'm downloading this video and plan to go over it several times with a good notebook and a biro.
Hey Squirrel!! Great to see you back on youtube and on MSFS! Just one thing, you said about D157Y, at 49:07 in the video, you had it right in front of you at LSK4 in Blue. Great video as always!
Great to see you back doing some flight sim again Squirrel, your content never disappoints! Don't quote me on this but I think the stands at Tivat are similar to the ones at London City, in that you have to make a sharp almost complete U-turn on the spot and point diagonally out towards the taxiway. I presume to leave taxiway clearance maybe?
Welcome back Squirrel. Nice helpful video, thanks. I'm still on the FBW (which is brilliant anyway) so looking forward to trying the Fenix.....maybe even later today ! I'm assuming that I'll be able to get my Logitech and Virtual Fly gear synched up ok (using SPAD where necessary).
Hey Squirrel ! I think you are meant to park on the central yellow line side in the middle of the turning yellow lines, ( near end of video under the tail of your aircraft and in line with the starboard wing navigation light so your aircraft should port side on to the buildings or park your front gear on the yellow spot, I think that is a stop mark for your front gear, so sure you had it correct the first time ) that would make sense to me, as you would not be blocking any other aircraft from using the taxi way and also plenty of room for vehicles like stairs and fuel and baggage etc to go around you, that is what I think anyway. Great flight sim video as always, been watching some of your train sim ones, would love to see another train sim video on your channel soon !
Brilliant video, love your flight sim vids. Would like to see you fly out of here and make it a series, Where your next vid always starts from where you last left off.
I remember being a young kid, possibly early 2000's, at a mate's house and he had an old white tower PC, so old that the white had started to go grey with a yellow tinge, running windows XP. He had one of the first few flight simulators which was literally just a horizontal orientation indicator, and orange or green colour for the ground and blue to indicate the sea. A few years later I got FS2004, which I played for a few years with just a keyboard, before finally getting a yoke. Then FSX gold edition and now on FS 2020. Haven't played it in a while as despite my PC being still very "up to date" the performance is not amazing and there are still some bugs, additionally I sometimes have to keep reinstalling windows because of failed boot loader or master boot record corruption which can't be repaired, so each time it's most of a day's "work" to reinstall everything I had, BEFORE FS 2020. That on it's own (despite the 1Gig internet we have) still takes a good 6-7 hours to download as it appears that the download speed is capped by their servers and does not go above 60Mb/s, and as the sim is huge and if I recall exceeds 100GB in storage capacity it takes a long time.
Great video, am really enjoying your flights, 2nd Fenix A320 video watched and looking like my next purchase. You may be able to answer a query I have, when hovering my mouse over speed hdg alt buttons I can only use an x axis to change values Wold this be a result of my basic MSFS 2020 version? Cheers
I have learned so much from your videos and tutorials, I just wish there was a full tutorial on the Airbus, what all things mean, why do them, how to's all, and what the values are, programing flight data, bare in mind I have the basic lol naked default version on Xbox one game pass, I'm thinking of buying the all the bells and whistles version lol. Any, I can't wait to learn how to do all this for now I have basic point A to arrive at point B, nav points, and good luck Star Commander and the Don't Crash Flight team. To be fair I have only crashed 2 times, and that was day 1 in the Hornet and Carbi helicopter. I did however found my house with the Carbi and crashed in my front yard lol, helicopters are a nightmare with an Xbox controller. I enjoy duplicating your flights and doing my own. I'm sticking with learning 5 craft at a time, the Airbus A320 is one of those 5. But I thank you, sorry I'm late to the party, hope you make more MSFS's.
I don't know about the graphics... I mean.. i'm sure that feature-wise it's much better, but the overall look is kinda.. i don't know, dirty. There's that nasty line in the fuselage, everything looks cheap... Fenix is more realistic, but i'd say that the FBW A320 actually does look better... And they're constantly updating it.
Yes it is, fenix could have asked more money for it. It's an older CEO version of airbus and atm I think it's the most complete msfs addon and it has set the benchmark for detail. Has a few bugs here and there, that others have reported, I have personally experienced only 1 which didn't have an effect on the flight. Just gotta keep in mind it's pretty fps heavy.
Any chance we can get subtitles. The auto-generated captions don't always make sense. I along with many people struggle to understand cockney accents. Thanks governor.
