On board 4 I was tilted enough of the previous one to overcall 2D. My partner bid 5C (exclusion blackwood!), and east bid 5H over it! These robots can do some magic, both here and BBO.
Just so your aware - gavins robot seems to have much better decision making (even though I dislike a few of its treatments. It meant I could find the 4 spade doubled and made spot on board four (I knew that they might not be safe at the five level and that we almost certainly were on a double-fit board so just preempted up to four. I was hoping that X-2 would beat out the game contracts, but 16 imps is more than I've gone up on one of the dailys before). I feel a bit bad about my overall record on this one - you definitely deserved the win: Board one I put partner on a weaker hand than he had, so found the heart ruff (as I thought it would be only possible way to beat contract), which is wrong given he showed up with nine points. I took board 3 based on an objectively bad bid, and got lucky with a fit in hearts. Board four was 100% my partners win - and you took the rest over my silly card play errors.
Bd 4 robot Ben bid to 5d, was dbld and went down 1, but still a win. But he didn't bid on bd 2 for a loss. I find the robot discrepancies even out for the most part.
