Thank you for the tips! Im an adult beginner and Im having a lot of trouble with the low second finger. Its hard for me to place it going downwards, when the 1st follows it (Im then twisting my arm to fit them next to each other). You are placing the first finger already with the 3rd/4th and that helps a lot with the second, but I cant stop worrying, because surely that wont be useable help in other pieces...
You are so welcome! Generally, it is very helpful to have the first finger on the string, as when you play a downward row of notes, then you have the finger(s) prepared. Practicing the second finger pattern separately (second finger low) is also very useful - you can do this: Place first and third finger on the A-string, and then move the second finger to C sharp, then LIFT the finger and place it on the C natural. Then repeat this 10x daily, over a period of a week or so, and you should feel a great improvement:-) Wishing you all the best for your practice!
