In Scotland we make the jelly directly into trifle dish so it sets flat into sponge and fruit base

Interesting combo of flavors!

This made me hungry for trifle even though I'm not making it this year. Very similar to mine. I include canned sliced peaches. Then I use sponge cake (not madeira or the muffin). Thick fridge custard is a must (for me). I don't make anything from scratch. People love it & can't believe it's all store bought ingredients, lol.

Here where I live it swill jelly roll.on bottom.n round the sides then sliced peaches n juice over top bit of crushed peanuts n what ever you personally like then home made custard thick as then color jelly strawberry kiwi fruit walnuts berry's.n top off with cream yummy as tyfs x

I'm gonna try this for the holidays..

I really don't eat trifle because it has too many things in one dish but this I will definitely give it a try.
