I wanted to wait to do my product review over the Trigger Control Accessory System. So one year into owning it here it is. This is not your average accessory control system. Will it turn on and off you lights? Yes but it has a dimming function and a strobing one as well. This is a product I would highly recommend for any vehicle that you want to put aftermarket lights on. Its and easy install and it doesn't require running any wires into the cab of the vehicle. They do come with a 4 switch set up as well as a 6 switch.

I have the newer Six Shooter. It's been installed for about a year now. The app for the iPhone has not been updated since 2017. This app should updated to be compatible with Car play, which would make it even more versatile. I did call the company and suggest this, but it apparently is not a priority. Other than that, it's a great accessory controller.

That's a good point. They really should do both Apple car play and Android auto. How slick would that be if you could control your lights from your touch screen radio.

I have read in multiple places that the app is sketchy and the switches are flimsy. Any issues with yours?

@@geoffreydlin8043 Zero issues to report on mine and I play with the app all the time. I have installed about 15 of them for customers and I haven't had one come back for issues.

@@XtremeTruckAuto it would be slick as ****. and redundancy is always a good thing . But the apps really should get a design remake. very outdated.

@@Suedzville I agree it is a bit outdated but for an app that is for an aftermarket acessory it works well. Trust me I have seen some terrible apps to controll lights. I wish they would put the voltage part of the app that come with the 6 shooter on the 4 plus.

Do you know how pair the controller to the system? I use inly the app but can’t pair the controller🤔

I don't remember off the top of my head. I do know they do have them on their website. triggercontroller.com/trigger-controller-support/ Go to the quick start guide for your trigger system and at the very end it tells you how to re bind the controller.

How long do the batteries in the switch last?

I haven't had to replace mine yet. I would guess about the same as key fob or a tv remote. The nice thing is that if they do run out you can use the app to control them and it works really well.

Any problems with lag between hitting the switch and the light going on/off? This looks like a more affordable option than the S**D brand.

Zero with the switches. The app has a tiny bit but its not enough to annoy me. Honestly I bought it to try out thinking it would be a gimmick and ended up loving it. I have sold countless of the 4 plus and the 6 shooter and only had one come back. It was because the controller became unpaired to the box but that was a super easy fix. It is in the instructions. I can not recommend either the 4 plus or the 6 shooter enough. The time saved on wiring is 100 worth it and I use that thing every day on my own jeep. I have my fog light run off it.

Since you wired it for constant power have you had any battery drain issues?

Nope. However, it is my daily. If you are going to have it on a vehicle that is going to sit for an extended period. I would wire that yellow wire to the aux power or pull the main fuse.

If you set a light to flash, and then close the app, will it be set on flashing if you use the rocker switch? Thinking about running this system on my work truck and would like the option of the flasher but don’t always want to use the app to turn that on and off. Would like to set it on the app and then have it save and use the rocker.

@@according2ryan Just staying in touch. I'm going to try to test it this week but it may be the weekend before I get to it. My Jeep's battrey died on me and I'm waiting on my new battery to come in. However, I am going to give Trigger Systems a call today to see if I can find that out for you sooner.
