I had to post my bbg Vash sometime (: tags- #trigun #trigunstampede #vashthestampede #vash #stampede #wolfwood #nicholasdwolfwood #vashwood #anime #edit #crack #ytp #editing #funny #scenes
No matter how many times I see it, seeing Wolfwood getting turned into a human speed bump just fuckin' sends me. It's so on-brand for him across all iterations of the story for him to manage to get hit by the *only* car for miles of open desert
I was watching this series with my partner. When that scene came up, he had to pause it he was laughing too hard. He just kept wheezing for a solid two minutes, "They really are siblings"
We all share the same braincell and I love it. I think they might actually make Vashwood canon this time instead of just 'literally an inch away from being canon but the author wasn't confident including romance and the manga and anime released in the 90's/early 00's when it wasn't as accepted'. As someone who's shipped them in every iteration, I'm excited that it might finally be official in Stampede. What can I say, I'm a sucker for narrative foils that have a fun dynamic with each other, and anything in the vein of 'hitman/double agent becomes emotionally invested in their mark, regardless of if platonically or romantically, to the point that they switch sides and fight for the hero'
@@bengal4047 what are you saying? Look I’m not aganist shipping but when you argue for it to be made canon thats when you’re asking for too much.. Nighttow, mangaka of Trigun, never said anything about wanting Vash and Wolfwood to be romantically involved. There is not a single moment in the manga that Vash and Wolfwood show anything but a mutual friendship. You are literally making this up. Please cite sources before you make such claims.
@@Nopeasaurus this is not the manga. I also think it's asking for too much, but it's also not out of the question. The older show literally tried to make a couple "more canon" (even if in the original source material it never was implied), and it's not like they were both completely loyal to the source. You need to stop thinking if this anime like a normal anime adaptation and more like a ninja-turtles-type adaptation in which they can literally make up most save for maybe having four turtles, a rat and a shredder and you can reinvent most of it. The mangaka has literally never cared for any shipping, even if it's problematic. They favour it because it means more support. If they are made canon in the adaptation this mangaka wouldn't give a flying fuck. They have reposted fanart of meryl x vash, wolfwood x vash and even knives x vash lol literally no fucks given. Also, disclaimer that an author not doing something in ONE version doesn't mean they are not open to doing it in another version. It just means they don't want that for THAT ONE in particular or they just don't care so they don't invest in that. They said vash wouldn't like to be with a human because they have short lives, then again that realistically wouldn't prevent anybody from developing feelings when it comes down to it, and fictionally the other show already was trying to ship vash and meryl. Again, no fucks given. It doesn't affect the story, which appears to be Nightow's main focus aside from cats and drawing vash in a dominatrix fit yeah, it's more difficult cause it's a gay ship, but in terms of plot and consent from the first author? It just baffles me you would think that'd be a problem. The main problems are censorship and possible backlash, you just too scared to say it lol
And people said this show had no comedy. XD lol They out here tellin' lies! LIES I SAY!!! Can we also collectively appreciate Johnny Yong Bosch giving his all to this? Vash was his first anime role back in the 90's and to see him reprise Vash in 2023 is fantastic. His performance really showcases how much he's grown as an actor over the years while still maintaining the identity of the Vash many grew up with. It's phenomenal. :) God bless that man. Thanks for uploading this. It was fun! :) God bless you too! :)
Yooo did they bring the same guy who voiced Vash for Trigun 1998? Sounds just like him. Man what a blast of nostalgia it is to hear him voice vash again. Dude did such a fantastic and freaking hilarious job with the English voice of vash.
Adding onto this with dub Wolfwood's "make sure there's some empty chairs, they're kingdom coming" while he was butchering the prayers for the dead lol
Don’t forget the pregnant lady and her mood swings in the first few episodes. 1) You know, Vash is the town hero, I can’t believe you tied him up. 2) Actually, now I need to give you away for a heap of money. 3) Well, now I feel bad for doing that. 4) Wait, no I don’t. Get out of my town.
Fr I did not like her from the second she turned on him. Then she gets mad at him for Knives’ tomfoolery? *AND HE FORGIVES HER! HES A LITERAL GOLDEN RETRIEVER AA-*
lol mood swings you’re right, blame it on the baby brain. But seriously, Vash is someone you’d get conflicted about too. He saves the town, has a good heart, and probably the nicest person she’s met in this harsh outlaw landscape where everyone is trying to survive. HOWEVER, he is a huge liability to be around for too long. You see where Vash goes trouble follows, theres a bounty on his head and it doesn’t help that his brother is a genocidal manaic bent on killing humans and changing his brother’s idealogy. You can’t tolerate being around someone like that for long so thats why she kicked him out. As for betraying him, she’s a single mother (i dont see a husband) and she’s got kids, idk what you would do if you needed money for your family but it probably wouldnt be too far off wirh what that woman had to do.
@@crusher-xc2hy tell that to asleepyb0i400 who has terminal skyler white syndrome about any woman who doesn't just let the main guy off the hook when he fucks up
I really need to know how many takes it took for Johnny Yong Bosch to do the noises he did for Vash. Not because he needed to do them at a certain noise but given more than likely how if there were other VAs or people in the room with him , I'm pretty sure there is no way people were able to control their laughter 😭
I was worried when I heard they were remaking Trigun. It was the first aniume I ever bought, and still my favorite. Seeing the energy in these videos I've stumbled across on RU-vid and such, I think I enjoy this one as well. Looking forward to buying it.
I think you'll like it. It's different, but good different. The timeline's shaken up a lot; to give you a reference point since you're coming from '98, the incident with July is the season finale. It's not a flashback; you get to see it in real-time and it kicks ass. They also did an amazing job with Knives' character and brought in a ton of his canon stuff from the manga so that he no longer comes across as a 2-dimensional murderhobo, and they actually gave the plant stuff the narrative attention it deserved. In terms of general canon, it's a 3-way hybrid between '98, Trigun Maximum, and it's own unique continuity. Stampede legit addressed 2 of my biggest narrative bones to pick with the og, and it handled them beautifully. I was really nervous going in too, but it won my respect early on and didn't let me down. First reboot I've ever seen that was a legit labor of love to a series and not a cash grab. I can't wait for season 2
@@bengal4047 i never saw the original trigun (im watching now!!!) And Stampede rly got me into it! It was so gripping and Im enjoying the old one too!
@@bengal4047 Yeah. I loved the 98' Anime, but the ending made it feel a touch empty, so I chased down whatever I could for a time. If this helps plug in and more more to the characters, I will for sure enjoy it. I love that Vash has the same voice actor, too. It would be the same without Johnny Yong Bosch.
0:12 Wolfwood sounding like he's using the word "straight" as a slur, especially since the sentence before really sounds-- "I'll skin you alive and play with your bones until you're begging to die! You got that, straight??"
I really enjoyed this series...it's one of the best anime's I've seen in years...Shout-out to johnny yong bosh for the dub!!! 'They kept the same energy going'
0:18 he looks so cute and dreamy Trigun stampede is one of those anime Who I say "nah not watching it" then sees random edits and clips and I decide to watch it. The dub is so good.
i LOVE this show also this video is so fucking funny I've only seen the sub since thats all thats on hulu but I might need to watch the dub for the full experience :)
Oh my gosh, i gotta watch that, the main dude reminds me of the Buttons companion mod for fallout 4. Ive always loved goofy characters like that. They're usually not very smart but extremely charismatic & quirky.
I haven't watched a single of Trigun or Trigun Stampede, and I've been watching these little compilations to understand what it's about. I have both of them on my list right now. So, I will definitely get around to watching them.
I saw this video just over a year ago. It's what finally convinced me to watch Trigun. I watched 98, Badlands, and finally Stampede. Thank you for being the beginning of my yearlong brainrot!
You know while i do miss the more over the top goofiness the original had, this version is really fun. I really liked Vash’s character here, Knives was handled so much better (Legato felt like the big bad more in the 98 version) and Meryl is adorable. And the story was pretty engaging. And that final episode was absolutely fantastic. I’m excited to see what they do for season 2. I really do think more people should give it a chance. It’s really good. Trimax was also far more serious but it also had the goofy moments sprinkled in, so maybe it will go that direction?
