Peaceful in many places for sure, but now and then a highway going through a town can be less so. steve

@@The-GreenHornet Toe pedaling ... ugh, and to think I did it for 12 years!!! But once I learned (the hard way) that there is a better way, I made the switch! My feet have been very happy ever since the summer of 2022! steve

@@EZSteve Yep, me toooo! No more clipless pedals and those narrow ballerina shoes that cause Hot foot syndrome and numbness in the feet. I wish a lot more recumbent trike riders would make the switch. They don't know what they are missing... Power! stroke and Comfort!

@@The-GreenHornet Brainwashing, and trying to fit in with popular beliefs, is a powerful phenomenon. Most recumbent riders will continue with the status quo despite the evidence to the contrary. This may be because many trike riders only use their vehicles for local short rides, and never experience the agony of the feet on long trips loaded with cargo in panniers. Once the pain and discomfort reach an intolerable level, a rider can choose to either ignore it, believing that it's just part of cycling, or a rider can choose to explore sensible options that totally eliminate the discomfort, pain, and permanent medical issues of the feet. I am glad I finally chose the latter option, late yes, but better late than never! steve
