Every year Seabury Hall takes a week of school to get out of the classroom and do experiential learning. Trilogy Excursions hosts a Seabury Winterim every year.
This year’s program was based around sustainable careers and companies here on Maui- a chance to highlight pono local businesses that bring in Hawaiian culture, conservation, and community into the core values of their sustainability practices.
So many of today’s Maui youth are not considering what a fulfilling career here on Maui might look like. Rather, many of our brightest pupils are considering college and jobs on the mainland.
This immersive week gave us a chance to showcase and experience some of the opportunities here on Maui that can help shape and influence our community and island in a fun and meaningful way.
