I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I think you did a great job on yourself. If you're not licensed, you should get licensed because you seem to have that skill and seem to be very methodical about how you do your hair and that's what school was all about. :)

People don't understand going natural is a process and takes time to get your hair like this, every product won't work for everyone but I follow you and I'm getting there but I do a lot of protective styling while doing so. I finally got edges back end from being thin and bald, rest of hair longer. You are absolutely amazing! Love, love, love❣️❣️❣️

Girl my hair grows in layers, and one side grows faster than the other. So I have to constantly cut the longer side which makes it super healthy looking but the other side I don't want to cut as much and grows so slow so it's always looking rough...so annoying!

Tierra J Beauty Hey love your hair! very thick and a nice length!. OK with that being said..MY NATURAL HAIR IS DESTROYED!!😭 I got my hair colored a couple of months ago AND my hair start breaking off badly and no matter what I do it stays dry. Do you think I should cut all of my hair off in start over? or do you think I should let it grow out in cut off the damage little by little? I'd already cut my side's and back low, but the top is still long. oh did I mention I also suffer from heat damage which this was the first time I had a blowout.I'm just SO OVER this NATURAL hair mess. My Stylist did my blowout and color my hair. NO she didn't bleach it, she used a box color. If you can help me I will really appreciate it!! thank you!!

LoveLife&Laugherwiththeguynes start to deep condition your hair at least twice or once weekly. Add some extra virgin olive oil for added moisture. Get a good trim. You may need to add a good protein treatment to bring the strength back. But dc. It should come back.

I use the texture manageability system by beautiful textures I think, whenever I straighten my hair. I have 4c hair as well and and soon and I ou the flat iron down it be like "poof". I spend about 4-5 hours deep conditioning and everything. I tried it a few years ago. I only straighten my hair once a year so it qorks great for me. Once you want your curls back just wash your hair and deep condition especially if you used a ton of heat while straightening.

Last time flat iron my hair (6months r so ago) it stil came out dull n frizzy n dry. I added heat protectant b4 flat iron n it stil wuz a mess.

plush furr It might be your flat iron. When I use to use my old one, my hair would be frizzy and dull looking. When I bought a new one and used it, my hair was bone straight and I didn't have to use a lot of heat.

if do a round motion with you flat iron when you reach the ends,, your ends will be smoother and your hair will have some nice volume. that is what I do and love it.

When you hold your hair up like that to trim it your actually not doing a blunt cut you kind of layering it that's probably why you kept going in circles with your length .. once you have layers it is harder to get to blunt cut but it looks wonderful my ends are completely poofy and I have no clue what to do but to cut them off but I'll cut gradually

Well I'm Puerto Rican and African American... I have really thick hair and taming it is HARD. Any suggestions? Should I try this? Edit: My hair is midway down my back. It grows super quick...

Indera Eskew lol you can never "tame" your hair. Deep conditioning regularly and mositurizing with the L.O.C method will keep you hair moisturized making it soft and easier to manage. Stretching your hair will also make it easier to manage and avoid tangles.

as an afrolatina that is NOT MIXED (I am a black woman), I can say that maintaining my bra strap length hair just involves deep conditioning, get trims every 3 months, no heat, and eat healthy
