I needed to know how to adjust the trim tabs on my rc boat and this is the first video that really answered that question lol. Very concise and helpful, thanks :)
Yep, a big difference. The issue I had was the lean of the boat returning to shore with stiff wind on side of boat. When you cut through chop with boat leaning towards chop, it makes a much harder ride because the vee of your boat isn't as effective cutting though chop/waves.
I took my parents out along with my family on my boat without trim tabs, and it was listing pretty heavily to port side on plane. I'm halfway through the installation of some Bennett tabs, and that should make any listing woes disappear. My boat doesn't need any help getting on plane, but with the tabs, I should be able to stay on plane at slower speeds, making it more fuel efficient.
you should have also explained how the ride benefits when they are both trimmed down in big sea's to help the boat cut through the waves buy putting the nose down...
Thanks, but what is trim tabs in the neutral position. Meaning, if you want them, for the present, to be having ZERO effect on the boat--all the way up?
