Hello! My name is Beatriz and I’m a fan of yours. I watch most of your videos all the way in Paraguay. I’m a beginner and only started wheel throwing about six months ago but I practice a lot!! I have a small chinese beginers wheel and I don’t know if this might be a factor in my not being able to advance past the stage of centering and opening the clay. I just produce an enormous amount of little pots with heavy bottoms!!!😓 in other words pulling is a major difficulty. Are there any tips you could offer me to correct this annoying trend of mine? I’d be very grateful!
Hi Beatriz- try checking out my Beginning Wheel Throwing playlist- I have many pointers on pulling! :). Beginning Wheel Throwing- shoot - that link didn’t work. I’ll paste it in another comment below!!! Looks like I had to paste that from my computer! ru-vid.com/group/PLj0pNzEmvM_rJTOZkLguUWO9ufdCSJR2P
Hi Zoe- I have two aprons I use that I bought off Amazon! Both are "cross back" aprons where there is no neck strap- I found that is makes a huge difference in the fatigue and tension in my neck and shoulders! In my video description, I have a searchable Googledoc with my amazon links to those and my favorite tools/materials. You may want to check it out! This is the apron I am wearing in the video: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E4DYQQM/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=karanspotsand-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B01E4DYQQM&linkId=40469a59639201b11688bb0808608f7b This is the bucket boss long apron (not the one I am currently wearing in the video) It is shorter than the one I am shown wearing. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GK4U3SO/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=karanspotsand-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B00GK4U3SO&linkId=d322ec89dce9a4be7a6ce9ef5f0f6e03
