Hey All!
I'm back with a quick hair video - this time, you'll see me trim the ends of my locs. I am currently six years in the game (seven years in November) and I have never trimmed my ends! I noticed my ends were growing out uneven, and I just wanted to trim or "prune" them. I enjoyed this process because I feel like my hair overall has a move healthier appearance to it.

Omg thank you for the continued support!!! I’m happy with the trim as well, those ends needed to go! Truthfully, I’ve been itching to dye the roots of my locs, 😵‍💫😵‍💫 but I’m trying to hold onto not bleaching my roots. Really want to make sure the foundation of my hair is healthy. 👩🏽‍⚖️. I wanna trim my locs because the lint at the bottom locs so ugly . I tried to dye it but without bleach and I still see it .. thinking if I should just go black instead of this brown but I’m loving the brown and it’s my first time dyeing it . Once my hair grows some more I’ll cut it

I think that’s a fabulous plan! Just continue to trim your hair as it gets longer. Unfortunately lint in my opinion is inevitable, unless you live in a hot climate and never wear cotton! I’m based in nyc and have so many fuzzy sweaters and hats that I have to wear.

I don't see noting wrong getting locks trimed I just trim mine. if we had a big afro we would get it trim up no matter how big the afro is.

Im bout to trim my locs but i want to blunt the tips off with a crochet hook, how do i blunt em off do i just start picking where i cut straight or do i fold the hair into the dread n pull it in

I’d fold the hair and put it in! However I do think if your ends don’t have a natural blunt look that’s ok! It’s best to leave our hair alone when we can 😄

Yep! I just cut the ends and will continue to do so when needed

Ofcourse you can! I would wait a few months till they have matured, and then just give them a trim whenever you are ready! 💖🥳😁
