Very good job.. explained it perfectly. No dog likes there toenails clipped. U eva try cutting BigDog nails Saint Bernard great dane. They hate u touchin there toes and nails is worse. Lol BUT.. U just have to show um who's Boss in a Positive/Nice way, Lots of treats and communication
Im glad someone's shows that trouble dogs are not unworkable. You literally just need patience and persistence and all dogs can be groomed. My pyrenees hates his nails being cut. He will show me teeth, but a firm correction early on lets him know he CANNOT bite or act out. The sooner its over. the sooner he gets food.
It would be awesome, if my dog would be that easy to handle 😅 he's a lovely dog, but if he sees the nail clippers, he is fighting for his life 🙈😂😂😂 he's not biting and he doesn't hurt anyone, but he would fight, so you don't even have the chance to hold on to the paw longer than 1 second 😅 and because of his size he is sooo strong 🤣🤣🤣 you can do anything with him, but not clipping the nails 🙈😅
@@SanPedro22 I bought a nail grinder, because it's way easier to desensitize a dog to a nail grinder than to nail clippers and it works perfectly fine. We trained almost 4 weeks until my dog was used to it, but now it works really good 👍🏻
I'm sorry but this is a joke for the title. This dog is... halfway uncooperative. Try my 115lb Pyrenees who YANKS his paw back any chance he gets. Peanut butter plates, fish, sardines, best treats, jerky- he wants NONE OF IT
It's nice seeing 'non professional' people, (so far!) let you see and understand the problems that we have with our own dogs as you are demonstrating with your dog!
I have every device known from belly bands to the hammock and still cannot trim my Yorkies nails. She weighs 6 lbs. Even tried sedation with meds from vet. She became a 6 lb Cujo. Smh
To something that is stronger than the dog. Post, beam, eye bolt, leash thru the door and hooked on doorknob on other side. I usually only need a post for a short while before the dog understands well enough to be handled without the tether.
You ok? Lol she’s not rough with him. Dogs are VERY physical creatures that’s how they naturally communicate with each other in a pack. She’s not beating him/manhandling him. You’re just sensitive
LOL! Said by someone who either is blessed with a dog that doesn't mind getting their toe nails clipped (I've had some like that - it is a dream come true) or sends them to the groomer.
@@blujeans9462 you are dead wrong. I rescued a 1.5yr old dog who was once placed in kill shelter. But with patience and training he is now 9 years well mannered dog. I groom him myself...best time for bonding. He hated his paws being touched but now he presents his paw for trimming...training and patience is the key. All dogs are good the problem is with the handler. LOL back at ya!
