When I was a kid, Dad towed our motorcycles on a 3 rail trailer but it certainly wasn't like that! It was probably home built, with 8" tires & only capable of holding the RM125 & RM500 my brother & I rode! Your trailer looks wonderfully designed, tows straight & true! I never thought I'd se a Til the Road Ends Alaska video with bikes on a trailer but I get it......unfinished business. Can't wait for the next adventure. Great work & give my best to Kevin!
This is a great video, thanks for taking the time to capture all the camera angles while in motion. Looks stable enough. Could you comment how well it would carry ONE bike similar in size to your Africa Twin? I have only one bike, a Vstrom 650 (500lb wet). I read somewhere that the independent torsion axles work well with a single bike loaded to the side (not the center). Did you try it or have any thoughts? Also, how much space (footprint) did the upright trailer take up in your garage floor? I never thought about it until I saw your video but I might have room to put it to the side (rather than in front) of the car! Thank you again for taking the time to make this video
Hi Jim, I've hauled one bike on the trailer before, but in the center. In an earlier advertisement, they claimed it was safe to haul one bike on the side, but it just doesn't feel right to me. I think that physics would eventually catch up to me. But I tend to be overly cautious. I'm not sure of the actual footprint the trailer took up in the garage, but I can tell you - I have a two car garage...the trailer was stored upright in the front right corner of the garage against the side wall, my truck was parked next to it and I still had room to the left of the truck for an Africa Twin and a V Strom, with room to walk in between the truck and the bikes. I'm sure the dimensions are on their website. Keep in mind there is a steel support tube welded to the back of the trailer when it's folded that keeps you from storing it upright. But I just cut a hole in a small pallet to clear the tube and just raised the trailer upright onto the small pallet. It worked great and was very easy to raise and lower the trailer onto and off of the pallet. It was also very stable, with no chance of the trailer falling over. I recently sold the trailer...not because there was anything wrong with it, but because I figured I didn't need it anymore. If you haven't already, I highly recommend that you watch my Dempster / Dalton video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tLuMFElRWqQ.html . It will show you an issue I did have using the trailer on my trip up to Tuktoyaktuk...and how I fixed the problem, but it was too late, the damage had already been done. Thanks. If you strap in a third bike in the center, then you'd have to put the ramp in the back of your truck because that's where the ramp mounts when carrying two bikes...in the center. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment too. Happy to answer any other questions you might have.
In one of the advertising videos, a person claims that the chocks will hold the bike up before you strap it in. However, I never tried it. It was easy enough to just put the kickstand down and quickly connect the straps. Sorry, I know that doesn't help with your question.
No, it was not a test. It was a planned trip. Trailer the bikes up to Dawson City, then ride the bikes to Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean in Canada. Then trailer the bikes to Fairbanks, then ride the bikes up to Prudhoe Bay on the Arctic Ocean in Alaska. This video is about the trailer and not the trip. I plan on doing a video in the near future about the actual trip. I really appreciate you watching and commenting.

How much did you pay for this trailer? Where did you buy it from? I see them online for $800 brand new. They pop up on Google search. I am trying to figure out if those are or are not scams.
I paid about $2600 for the trailer at The USA Trailer Store online. I can't imagine what you'd get for $800 ! The Kendon trailers (which I've heard are good trailers) are much more expensive. The two rail Kendon is $4699 and the single rail is $3989. Mine is a three rail, but only 3 trail bikes will work on it. Two large bikes are fine. Beware of that $800 trailer.
