In this video I visit the first atomic weapons test site, Trinity. The plutonium implosion device was tested here in 1945, and can be seen in the 2023 Christopher Nolan movie Oppenheimer. The Manhattan Project concluded with the Trinity test, the device called the gadget was suspended by a steel tower which was obliterated by the explosion.
