In this video I demonstrate how to automate the outputs on your Holley Pro Dash. In this example, I set my transmission cooler to come on at 140 degrees F and to turn back off at 130 degrees F, and to turn off at the GPS speed of 40 MPH, and to come back on whenever the car slows back down. This was all due to a new software update to the Pro Dash, a PDF of the changes in the update can be found below.

I had absolutely no idea they had added that. Apparently i just bought an expansion module for no fuckin reason! Thanks for this brother.

You're welcome. I suppose you could sell it, or add even more sensors.

@@TrailerParkMotorsports I think I’m still going to use it just so I can set everything in the laptop software. This seems more like a feature they added to entice people to buy the standalone dashes. I’m wondering why they didn’t just make it configurable in the software over CAN like the inputs or the IOs on the expansion modules.

Hey man, great vid! Do you know if you can add a second fuel level gauge when running 2 seperate tanks?
@TrailerParkMotorsports
@TrailerParkMotorsports 3 месяца назад
Yes, you absolutely can. You'd wire that up the same as you would using IO7 and the sensor ground. The only difference with using another input is that it doesn't have the default smoothing that accounts for fuel slosh, however you should be able to add that smoothing feature manually.

Have you seen where you put in a value to turn on your fans for example 30. And the OK button is grayed out?

Looking for some help. I installed the Motion race works shock travel sensor on my manual valve body 4l80 so i can log and see what gear it’s is in. I’m running that sensor to my pro dash and can’t get it to work. I know Devon has a video on his channel but he is using an input on the dominator. I’m using the termx but i’m out of inputs on it and the can io module as well. That’s why i have it wired to the pro dash. Can you help?

@TrailerParkMotorsports 6 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching and commenting. Looking at the Pro Dash pin map, it looks like you could wire up that travel sensor to inputs 1-13 and then set it up the same way on the Pro Dash that Devon showed. I'd look at using inputs 1 or 2, as they can only be a custom 5v input, as opposed to the other inputs being more versatile. It really should just be a matter of configuring the indicator lights based on the voltage of the sensor. Another thing has me very curious about your setup, though. You said that you're out of IO on the Terminator X and the CAN IO module? What else do you have going on for sensors and such?

Once I move in the next month or so, I'll be doing a lot more work with the different sensors, particularly Rife, and showing the capabilities on here and perhaps some other channels.

@@TrailerParkMotorsports ok i’ll have to do some more research. I’ve got it connected to pin 30 which should be input 8. Then i’m using the 5v and sensor ground pins from the pro dash.
@TrailerParkMotorsports
@TrailerParkMotorsports 6 месяцев назад
Input 8 is fine. That channel does custom 5v among some other things. 5v and sensor ground are also correct. At this point now you just need to get the voltage of the sensor in each shifter position and then map that to the indicator on the dash layout.

@@TrailerParkMotorsports what’s wired is it doesn’t have custom 5 volt in the drop down only 5 volt
