I lost a Precious Baby. To Me. He was a few Months old. In gestation. I was never able to have Children. But, I was blessed to have. My Nieces, Nephews and Greats in. I wonder how he would have been. 😢
Need to tell you, I take care of my three grandsons while Mom and Dad work. They are 5,3,and 9 months. I find it easier to have all three then just the baby. They occupy him so much even if they are not playing one on one with him. He watches everything they do even if they are not looking at him. So I totally get why its easier with a full house. Your a great Mom. I get it lol
Mark your not a failure you have had to help and support your family this last year and that’s far more important and watching you has been a great inspiration to see the example for those young men.
For all the firefighters and everyone involved in the wildfire. tell Mark he is not a failure because you had to buy meat at the grocery. The thing I always get my heart just broken 💔 😪 over with all these wildfires ... is all of the poor little innocent animals living in the forest so, so so scared and they are desperately trying to find their way to run for safety someplace but they have hardly nowhere to run, cannot get out in time, and these precious animals end up losing their lives ... this just breaks my heart into a million tiny pieces as it breaks my heart into ... 💔 😢😔

Change change change. I’m not one for. At 71 my brain gets a plan and it sticks there!!! You hit the button to switch but nothing happens. Really, I tell my husband of 54 years tell me what to do and I will fallow it to the letter. I have a small family compared to you., I’m glad you are good natured you cope well 🤣we are in Michigan, we try to cram 3 months of summer into our summers (does that sound right) then we lose cus of rain, sickness, church (love) work schedule da da da., always glad to get back home ❤
At 72 some people ask me why I am always making lists, double checking things , trying to organize big plans plus details, always having Plan A, B , C etc, and having a constant state of alertness and readiness to switch gears. These people are not Mothers who ran households with kids and adults going in all kinds of directions with the constant “ new developments” happening all the time. LOL. You are amazing Lauren!!!!
Here in Western Canada we have hundreds of fires. In Jasper National Park in Alberta, the townsite has been evacuated due to fires close by. 🙏 for everyone.

So sad that your plans got messed up - you are in for a treat when you're able to finally go though! I took the train out to Denali the week before the fire and found it really comfortable and enjoyable with the tour guides narrating what was happening outside. And, it was just a wonderful atmosphere with passengers kindly accommodating each other for photos - on all 4 of our train trips. And, check out Prospector's Pizza on the Denali Boardwalk if you're looking for outside food options - that was a solid recommendation from our hotel shuttle driver!
My sisters and I took that train to Denali State Park after we got off the cruise ship, flew to Anchorage, went to Fairbanks and from there got on the train. What an adventure. Prayers for the fire fighters. What heroes. Have fun on your trip.❤

I love how you go with the flow when plans unexpectedly change. It's not an easy thing to do, but you handled it with grace. One day, my husband and I are going on an Alaskan vacation. There are no plans as of yet, but we dream of taking the train and going to Denali. Hopefully, the trip will be filled with tons of fishing and site seeing. It's a pipe dream at the moment, but it will happen in the next 10 years.
Where I live we had to evacuate a National park and the town of Jasper AB and they have to go west because the east entrance is closed due to fires, and we are having a heat wave too, please keep us in your prayers and we will keep you in ours. I love your adventures at the cabin, I would love to do that again, So I go on the adventures thro your vlogs , God Bless

Same thing just happened to us. Our Denali part of the trip was canceled due to wildfire. We were also supposed to do the train ride. We were displaced to Alyeska Resort for 3 days, where we enjoyed Girdwood and some hiking. We are from Connecticut and did a Holland America land/sea tour.
Keeping Alaska in my thoughts! I’m in Saskatchewan Canada and there’s over 100 active wildfires here as well 😢 it’s so scary, also in Alberta there’s a big wildfire approaching a very popular tourist spot (Jasper National Park), it’s extremely Smokey in my city

You and your family have been through so much, your heart will always be tender, I cry all the time even watching you cry makes me cry. Maggie was precious and so is little Violet, so alert and takes everything in stride, cutest expressions. Hope they have those wildfires contained and everyone is safe. Venting is a good thing . Sorry your trip was canceled. We have found that trips are better for us early spring and early fall . Great video and be safe during fire season. Smoke is really bad here in northern Montana
Sorry to hear that it was cancelled for you! We took the train from Fairbanks to Anchorage on June 25th, and the fire fighters were all arriving in Fairbanks with us. We heard in the days after that things were cancelled 😢 Our whole trip and cruise were practically perfect otherwise.

Awe. I went on a train trip in Alaska. 😂our train broke down, and we had to wait for another train to come rescue us. Thank goodness my husband’s family were aboard with us. They make everything thing fun with their witty comments and puns. That watermelon price! Holy Moly! We get them for $5 here. Almost $12 seems a little overpriced even for Alaska.
Praying for the firefighters to put out the fires. Just got home from an Alaskan cruise yesterday. Alaska is beautiful! Went to Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, Canada. Plan to go back next year.

I’m sorry your trip got canceled. We were very fortunate. We flew up to Vancouver British Columbia on the fourth. And got on the Princess Safire on the sixth. Denali reopened on the 10th and we were able to take the train up on the 13th as scheduled. We were really stressing to whether we would get to go. It is amazing trip especially Denali Park. I’m sure you’ve been there before, but it’s always different. This was my second trip there but my first train. Unfortunately, our day on the train was really rainy. But it was an interesting experience. Can’t wait till you can go and see it all. Praying for good weather for you.

We have fires in Alberta now too. (July 23/24) It's sad. Jasper is actually under evacuation orders now. Praying for all fires every where that everyone will be safe and the fires will be extinquished.
