So you've got served 5 times! 1, juice, 2 lunch, 3 coffe or tea, 4 salad tapas, 5 pre landing snack! I think its pretty worthy. Very nice Iberia here. Also the cabin looked very very silent, even close to galey. Great aircraft, great puntuality, decent FA, and nice features of the seat+screen. Im excited to flight in 3 weeks with this very A350-900 from Madrid to Lima
Heaven, I thiught that this is standard service, I will never ever complain about KLM economy. I was wondering whole video what was premium about this…
On January, this year, I flew with Iberia from PRG to MAD on A350 in Premium Economy, too. And it was extraordinary experience. Especially in new aircraft. I recommend this airline! One of the best. ❤
As a professional sound recordist I always watch the Video with my headphones on and the sound was brilliant and it gives the feeling of being on that plane😊
Thanks so much! Wow! Really impressed that somebody like you tells me that! It's just how the sounds comes from the camera, slightly edited, but at an extremely amateur level haha Have a nice weekend :)
@@OnBoardHD I am glad that you appreciate my comment. Thanks ! Of all the Airline reviews on RU-vid, yours is the best especially when it comes to the quality of Video and Audio. Looking forward to seeing more 😊
Liked Iberia Premium Economy. Food looked delicious especially the huge sub sandwich since I am a bread lover. Love all the airports for their uniqueness. Favorite part of the trip- the aerial views of the earth especially Greenland which looks otherworldly. Great trip 🙋🏼♀️👍🏻🇺🇸✈️
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it :) I think 2 warm meals is the minimum and the adequate for this lenght, at least in Premium Economy. Besides that, the flight was great.
Fantastic trip report! This video reminded me of your Iberia A350 Economy Class video from 2018. I still remember the excitement of IB receiving their first A350, and honestly I feel like that alone made it one of your best videos at the time. As for this flight, Premium Economy looked nice & comfortable, the A350's wingview is really pretty, and I have to say that I really like Iberia's brand colors. I do wish their livery was more colorful though. The old IB livery is (was) one of my favorites, whereas the current one...isn't. Oh, and as for the views, well, they were great all around. First off, 14R/32L is my favorite runway at MAD due to the views of T123 and the cargo area. Next, it's really cool how you overflew my hometown, Santander. Greenland and Northern Canada looked incredibly inhospitable and spectacular (as always), and finally, I love the Western US's arid landscapes.
I’ve flown Iberia twice so far. Once in business class around 10 years ago MAD - LHR on an A340 (now retired) and again last year in premium economy LHR - MAD - BOG on their A350. Both flights were ‘correct’ service wise but the staff vanished when meal service was complete, something Iberia is known for. I’m flying them again in business class DUB - MAD - MEX return in December/January and again in economy OPO - MAD - LHR in February. On all my flights with them so far, the food has been pretty good and they do try to highlight the flavours of Spain, which is a nice touch. One thing I do like about Iberia is their T4S lounge in MAD: great apron views, plenty of space and a very good range of food and drinks which, again, emphasises Spanish cuisine and wine. Things I don’t like about Iberia: the disappearing cabin crew and their after sales service where their call centre staff are the definition of incompetence and unwillingness to assist.
Welcome back Sir .. absolutely another spectacular beautiful great trip report travel blog and you nailed it again, as always beautiful sharing adventure documentary updated resume and I really appreciate and enjoy watching your lifestyle trip report travel blog, keep it up Sir and I'm looking forward to next week's trip report and take care and enjoy your weekend .. Merci beaucoup Monsieur ..
I have flown IB on several occasions . Efficient in terms of onetime departures and arrivals though otherwise unremarkable in terms of crew involvement . I flew them from DUB to Canaries 1983 via MAD ( B727 & B747-200) , CDG - Santiago do Chile via MAD-Rio -Santiago (MD 82 & B747 - 200) and Paris to Costa Rica via outbound via MAD -Miami and then Miami - San José (A319) IB at the time was try to set up unsuccessfully a Miami Caribbean base . The return flight was direct with a A340-300 .
i agree with the ontime performance. it's probably the best part of the company. Talking about this flight, I think a second warm meal on an 11h+ flight in Premium Economy is a must...
The Miami hub failed because after 9/11 the U.S. tightened its border security and started to require a full immigration check for all passengers, including those just in transit. Since most Latin American nationalities need a visa to enter the U.S. but not Europe, and getting a U.S. visa is often a lengthy, bureaucratic, and expensive process (with a risk of being denied for no apparent reason), connecting at a U.S. airport became impractical for many Latin Americans, who were Iberia's target market with that hub. The same thing also affected East Asian airlines. Brazil has the world's largest population of ethnic Japanese outside of Japan itself, with the first immigrants arriving in the early 1900s and now fully integrated to Brazilian society and highly esteemed for their hard work ethic, honesty, intelligence, and dependability (they're very much coveted as in-laws). Japanese companies also have a lot of investment in Brazil, and Japan now also has a sizable population of ethnic Japanese Brazilian immigrants who made the reverse route from their ancestors (this is so significant that signs in Portuguese and specialized Brazilian grocery stores and restaurants are now commonplace in many Japanese cities, especially those in more industrial areas). To a lesser extent and as a more recent phenomenon (a few decades), Korean immigrants are also a sizable community in Brazil (and increasingly so, as older Korean immigrants prosper and send for their families to join them in Brazil, something the Japanese didn't do). For these reasons, both Japan Airlines and Korean Air used to have very profitable routes from Tokyo and Seoul to São Paulo (at times even from Nagoya and Osaka), with a refueling stop either at LAX or JFK. At its peak, JAL flew a daily 747-400 on that route. Both routes were suspended after the U.S. started requiring a full immigration check for transit passengers and passenger loads declined dramatically (Korean AIr insisted for a few more years than JAL until giving up). Now the Middle Eastern airlines (and to a much lesser extent the European ones) dominate that market. Emirates alone flies a daily A380 from São Paulo and a 777-300ER from Rio de Janeiro to Dubai, with very good passenger loads, and at least a third of all those hundreds of passengers, possibly more, are connecting to Japan or Korea.
How about YOU giving your impressions & marks for your flight experience, aircraft, service, boarding, luggage retrieval , etc. ( as some other trip advisors do.
Brilliant as expected. I think the extra charge was well worth it. 😊The main dinner looked really good. Not sure about the tapas tho.I loved every bit of the scenery. Your seating looked very comfortable. Thankyou Lucas ❤
THanks so much! Glad that you've enjoeyd this one :)) I think 2 warm meals is the minimum and the adequate for this lenght, at least in Premium Economy. Otherwise, the flight was really nice.
We got upgraded to the A350 in April 2023 from Boston to Madrid. Was a nice surprise. Were given seats directly behind premium economy which was awesome because, being no bulkhead, we has MASSIVE leg room. Could easily get up and cross in front of the passenger on the isle without difficulty. A330 on the way back which was decent but no comparison. Crews on both flights were efficient but you didn’t see much of them once service was completed.
I would love to fly long-haul on Iberia A346... At least I did it a couple of times on the London route. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rTJIwu60dL4.html
Great video and nice shots outside, I have never flown with Iberia but I would consider it, premium economy is nice if you have a height of more than 1.75
Great video - some really fantastic filming of the extraordinary landscape in Greenland and coming down through Canada. Part of the fun (I find) is trying to decide if there is any civilisation or settlements there amongst the rocks and snow. Did you mention what you paid for Premium Economy and how it compared with Economy prices? I didn't see it in the video. For 11 hours i would say PE is definitely worth it if the price is say 75-100% more. The extra room is really nice and being able to stretch out legs. I have to say Iberia 2nd "meal" was not impressive - that's something they could definitely improve upon.
I think that the main (and maybe only) reason to pay for premium economy, is the better seat with more space. It would be nice to have a list of seat specification for all premium economy (and economy) seats. Width, legroom, recline, comfort and “isolation” from the passengers around you.
I agree 100%. I pay or upgrade to a more expensive cabin for comfort and fewer people. On 10+ flights, it makes a significant difference. Planes are not restaurants; they are means of transportation.
Planes are not restaurants... but they offer the food included on the ticket, so you expect something good. Then you have airlines like Qatar Airways or Emirates in which, even in economy class, every flight is a culinary experience; with better meals than the majority of restaurants in any city.
I greatly appreciate your videos, especially the breathtaking scenic imagery that offers a glimpse into places I might never have visited. However, I'd like to draw attention to some distinctions among airlines from the United States, the European Union, and those based in the Middle East. Middle Eastern airlines benefit from substantial wealth derived from their oil and natural gas resources, often surpassing the combined wealth of many EU member states. It's important to note that these airlines sometimes rely on inexpensive migrant labor, a system known as "Kafala," which has been criticized for resembling a form of modern-day slavery. This wealth and workforce situation is a key driver behind their consistent efforts to enhance and upgrade their aircraft and services. While it's undeniably delightful to savor three delicious meals on airlines like Emirates and Qatar, it's crucial to recognize that such luxuries come at a cost involving these complex socio-economic factors.@@OnBoardHD
I wish there was an airline that offered some premium economy sized seats that are allocated for the very tall economy customers. Or at least lets them upgrade when it is not fully booked
Often recline Is same as economy , the width is an inch wider and leg room around 3 or 4 inches more … is it worth it ? Depends on the price when booking
