On June 24, I flew Alaska Airlines in First Class from Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport to Johnn F. Kennedy International Airport.

SJC has really changed alot...since flying out of there in late 80s -91...we would WALK out to the plane...front row views for outside plane watching ..plus the smells...

Alaska is growing its presence in the west coast? Isn’t Alaska from the West Coast? They even have a plane with the WEST COAST THE BEST COAST livery.

Ouch! Really sorry to hear about your injury: Hope you heal soon! And an excellent video (again). About the AS livery update on former VX aircraft: I keep wondering why it's taking soooooo long for AS to update the livery on its own 737s and Q400s. Why is this company so ridiculously slow? That old design is so .... 80s. Anyway, I really love your trip reports, especially the ones where you travel on my fave airlines.

Hubert Nguyen yes I know but it is special that a 757 fly’s into Sacramento because this is a new route for a 757-200 to operate and it is the largest commercial passenger aircraft to fly to Sacramento besides a Hawaiian A330

Sorry about your skateboard crash. Good that it doesn't keep you from flying and producing more trip reports. In any first class ticketed flight I would expect a great meal, especially on a transcontinental route. I know it's none of our business but why were you flying to NYC that day? Business or visits with other family members or both? You can tell us if you want to, only because we're genuinely curious about almost any flights you're taking and why. I can understand the reasons for going to Italy and France, great places to vacation! But why do you take so many U.S. fights, both short and long hauls? Also, I am following your Instagram and I haven't seen any really new posts there in 2 months or more, last one being July 9 or so. Would love to see more of you there.

The legroom was great, but other than that, I'm not sure what else distinguished this from "Premium Economy" - except for the price. I presume there was a choice for the meal.

DL Brittain SJC is my home airport and yes, planes always departing north or east need to spiral climb to avoid sfo planes from the east to west.

Silverware... Back when the most prestigious flight on the planet - on the Concorde - was still flying, you got... plastic utensils! Right after the 9/11 attacks, of course. Funny though to see such a thing during such a luxurious in-flight service.

one time my grandpa got on the wrong flight suppose to fly united from chicago ohare to lincoln nebraska instead got on a plane from chicago ohare to calgary, both those flights were boarding at the same time and it was dual door boarding meaning one scanner for two separate gates and got on the wrong flight luckily the plane stopped in like portland oregon and the next day flew back to lincoln nebraska this was back in the 1990s and before 9/11

dont fly to san francisco if i were you the are renovating runway 28L causing flights to be cancelled and major delayed like 8 hours until september 25th fly to san jose or oakland if you are going to the bay area

The poor guy in 3A,sitting next to that morbidly obese man,his belly exposed! Ewww! Just about everybody in FC was asleep,even your seatmate.Your bladder got a workout--water,OJ,smoothie,hot tea.Flying EB,you lose time--your flight left SJC about 730am,assume you arrived late afternoon JFK time. What airline was next to you as you arrived at the gate?
