Visited Zugspitze just days after my Mother passed away as she loved the Alps. I like to think that her spirit is at rest there. I really like your videos!
This was a really great video, I really enjoyed it thankyou, the views climbing out of Innsbruck were really spectacular, never seen views like it before, and interesting fact about only 200 pilots trained to fly from there, I can see why that would be, thanks again .
Thanks a lot, Mario! Glad that you liked it so much! :) That info about the 200 pilots was given by a viewer, I don't know if it's true or where does it come from... so take it carefully :D
A long time ago, Washington Dulles used "mobile lounges" to shuttle between the planes and the terminal. They were like busses, but you didn't have to go up or down any stairs. They were eventually replaced with sky bridges at a midfield terminal with the mobile lounges used to connect the main terminal with the midfield terminal, and the lounges were eventually replaced with a train system. The only time I used a bus to get to a plane was to board an ATR-72 at Newark, which I thought was rather inefficient. Those tray tables looked small. Still, it wasn't like the shelves they use on Frontier and Spirit these days.
Yeah, I've seen them in some pictures. They were quite interesting, but probably not cheap to maintain :) Haha I've experiences the Frontier tray tables. Actually, Frontier Trip Report will come soon to the channel :)
Yes, I've enjoyed this amazing trip report. The amazing views of the mountains on the ground as well as in the air, etc. Fun yellow stairs vehicles, covered but with windows, and the great terrace of Innsbruck. More airports should have that.
Thanks, Rudi :) The stairs are yellow and not white for a reason: there are much easier to spot during winter, when everything is covered with snow. Have a nice week!
Great video, Lucas .Glad that you have managed to make it back to Innsbruck. I shall be there again in 10 weeks, but will fly on that Austrian Embraer to Vienna and change to Heathrow on an Austrian A321. For arrival I shall be flying a Lufthansa A320 NEO to Munich and then enjoy the train across the Alps down to Innsbruck. Cant wait!!!
It was a good thing that you gave us a warningcall. I had to pause this video a couple of times just to get a grip. Now I could complain about flying to AMsterdam instead of a nice, exotic location. But I think I needed that to get back to reality. GREAT JOB!!!
haha Thanks so much, Albertus! Glad that you've liked it! :) This was a really impressive departure. I was expecting something really amazing, but this takeoff was beyond those expectations :)
What a stunning vieuws of the mountains. Innsbruck takes special trained pilots for it lies in the heart (not hearth = fireplace) of the alps. As always a wonderful video. You guys are great!
Once in Hong Kong took a bus to my plane. Was fabulous. A long trip passing heaps of huge planes from all over the world. Was thrilling. Even a plane from Papua New Guinea. My country.
Wow, absolutely breathtaking view. I was in Innsbruck so many times, but never took a look outside the plane. Unfortunately it always was a business flight from Vienna to Innsbruck an i had to do some work during the flight.
Most enjoyable Lucas!! Thank you for reviewing this route for us 😊👏 I loved the takeoff with the Alps there and also the airport at Innsbruck is quite a cosy and clean place. I have to say I have a personal bias to these smaller airports when compared with the big ones, like Heathrow or Schipol. What is your preference or you don’t mind? Many thanks again and excellent as well!! ✌️👍
Thanks a lot, Omar :) I like to have a mix of them. Big airports offer always amazing planespotting sesions... but the small one are always much more relaxed. :)
Amazing trip report with an outstanding technical explanation about Kranebiten TOGA takeoff and climbing. I love your comments. They are the best among all trip reports. Bravo.
Loved the Amazing lovely views as always your filming captured super Awesome 👌 well done Sir I really appreciate and enjoy watching your new uploading keep rocking my friend and you nailed it again Merci
Absolutely fantastic trip report, man! Innsbruck really does look like a fantastic airport! 😁👍😍🤩 I have a suggestion for a future video: Try fly to the worlds most scenic airport: Donegal, Ireland on Aer Lingus Regionals ATR72 (well, operated by Emerald Airlines) :D
Excelente video, querido Lucas !!! 😊😉
Muchas gracias, Bobby!
Very nice video. Just a little mistake at 16:33 it's an a319. Could be interesting to have your opinion about your favorite aircraft on a video, a320 or 737, 787 or a350 from a passenger view.
Good Morning Lucas 🖐 many thanks for this beautiful moments...yes Amsterdam 🌟🇳🇱🌟 Welcome....(with rain) too bad ...it's 30 degrees here now 🌞😎🌞 have a nice weekend Lucas 👍✈💞🍹😘 ....warm greetings....X Betsy.....
Thank you for a great video ! What a superb takeoff from Innsbruck, and no wonder the flaps were not retracted earlier in view of the need to gain height rapidly. I do like EasyJet, but as you have mentioned earlier, South West Airlines in the U.S have a much greater fun factor with the onboard crew !
Mmm Actually, I will upload soon a Jet2 Trip Report. I was planning some flights on the Jet2 B757 and A330 for this summer. But now those plans are postponed until the situation in the UK airports (specially in Manchester) becomes better.
Wow, really nice trip report :) I am living close to INN airport and therefore see many planes take off from my apartment, especially on weekends in winter. The area has an amazing landscape and in winter covered with snow, the city looks just lovely :) Thumbs up for your great work!
Looks like that was a best angle of climb (Vx) take off, where the plane gains the most amount of altitude in the shortest distance across the ground, especially important in mountainous areas like the vid shows. Spectacular views. I had to look up pilots-eye views from this airport to get the full effect.
Flew into Innsbruck many years ago on a British Eagle viscount from Heathrow , quite scary coming into land as the mountains seemed to be within touching distance, when we returned a few days later, the flight diverted to Munich (reim} due to the weather at Innsbruck
I really think INN is the most spectacular airport in Europe. At least among the ones with a decent ammount of commercial flights. I will fly there again next winter for sure. When evetything is fully covee by snow must be even more amazing 😊
Great video, thanks for sharing! At 16:36, that's an A319 rather than an A320. Don't get fooled by the two overwing exits, EasyJet has them also on the A319 as a custom option.
the alps views are as good as on the flight to Innsbruck with Transavia maybe better, also from the airport. I was in Innsbruck only on the way to Italy with the car, I hope I can fly one day to INN. I prefer a bus to the plane because you see more from the airport. Thanks for the explanation why the flaps and slats are retracting delayed. Yes I see the rain going into the engine.
Gracias
Please do Ryanair Birmingham to Verona because I always go Italy and try to get a video that goes from BHX to VRN but never find one , so please do one .
I prefer to board by bus. I love walking up the steps, especially if they are open. I always have the urge to turn around and wave, as though I was the president of the USA or a member of the royal family :). A jetway is just a corridor on wheels, they are no fun.
Think that the flaps retraction, is performed late bcs flying innsbruck (lowi) sid there is usually a speed costraight and a minimum bank angle whic i think actually was of 25' until the sid VOR
