Thanks a lot :-) Yes, and especially on longer long-hauls to Asia.. This flight to Newark was shorter and there was only one hot meal, on Asian routes are 2 hot meals :-)

Thanks mate! Yes, LOT is very good option for long-hauls :-) I already flew with them to Seoul Incheon in Premium Economy and back on their new 787-9 :-)

I think no.. 787-9 is enough for them, I flew with LOT on 787-9 from Seoul and many seats was empty.. and also I heard about LOT thinking to buy some Airbus aircrafts due to RR Trent problems.. example last week is flight LO11 to Newark operated by Air Belgium A340

very concise trip report ! Lot seems to do well-very professional service by the Crew ! Living near Chicago-ORD-i know when Lot is arriving-whether on-time etc etc.Lot-much improved service over the years ! Dzienkuje !

Thanks for watching! Yes, LOT has improved a lot, I've been flying them a few times on long-haul flights, and it's always been fine. Their crew are also good and friendly, and in terms of value for money, LOT is a very good choice :-)

Thanks so much! I flew with them more often because they usually had good ticket prices.. and also, they are in Star alliance, what is good for my Miles and more account :-D But next flight to USA I plan to try some new airline :-)

I thought I would miss the take off and landing video as your seat was without window :D So you attached your camera on emergency exit window? Is it allowed? Once I was not allowed by the crew of other airline. Well, LOT has the great service by the way and your video is great! Keep it up mate!

windowseat_flyer Nope, LOT has the window seats bit back, which means you have half of the window.. and also I tried to attach my cam to the emergency exit window and there it was prohibited.. but the half of the window next the seat is enough for the cam with suction cup and also I separately shot with my phone from this window

Thanks mate! I recommend them, their long-haul product is very good and LOT is mostly cheaper than other carriers on long-hauls :-)

Depends on version, on the 787-8 row 24 would be good. I had 25A on my flight from JFK to WAW with LOT and it was also good.

You cheated. An exit row seat? A preordered meal? This wasn't the Economy flight that most of us would experience, and you took the two most important factors in a long-distance flight (legroom and food) out of the running. Other reviews of LOT have been favorable, and I suspect that yours might be the same if you really flew Economy. You are a good reporter, but the label "Economy" is misleading.

Thanks for your comment :-) I'm not cheated, this exit row is in Economy class and this is one of options, how to have flight in Economy more pleasant. Also preordered meal is one of free options, when you booking a ticket. Many people prefer vegetarian or other special meal and this is free of charge. And yes, this seating is no typical Economy experience, but because I flew with LOT four times in 3 months, I wanted to try more options and my way back (JFK-WAW) I sat on standard Economy seat (2 rows behind), this report will be published later. And I tried LOT's Premium Economy too with standard meal.. Cheers :-)

@@PeteBrandy I apologize if my comment was a bit harsh, and your review does point out that we can see if an exit row seat is available, and that we can preorder our meal. Many airlines charge extra for both, and if LOT offers them at no extra charge, this is a real plus. Of course, there are just a few exit row seats, and LOT might be overwhelmed by 100 preordered meals!

@@Bobrogers99 I'm glad for the comment. A lot of things do not come to my mind if someone were not asked me, because I consider them normal as a frequent flyer. Otherwise, I case of special meals, I have the experience with many airlines and most airlines offer them as a matter of course (European and Asian airlines). Example on flights to Asia you can also order free Asian meals .. and these meals can be ordered for every economy passenger, even additionally online or through the call center. Btw. I have already made a correction in the description of the video and I added a description "Exit seat" :-D

Thanks mate! Why not? It's good for me on long-hauls, because I can sit by the window and take a walk at any time. Especially if I never fall asleep on the plane :-D

Can I offer some constructive criticism. I understand how it has happened, but being a frequent flyer you have chosen to pay extra for more legroom. Given almost all people won't, does it make sense to opt out of the real economy experience when making a trip report. I presume you want to inform people of what their experience is likely to be. Unfortunately you haven't, as we don't know how much legroom you really get, what a real tray table is like (is it folding, does it move back and forth), does the IFE screen move if the person in front reclines. All these things are missing. Please take this as constructive, not destructive criticism please.

Thanks for the feedback. Because I was flying back in 24 hours, I took the exit row seat there. On my return flight I took regular Economy seat and I will be posting this video.

Hi, thank you! There is a half of the window, so there’s no problem to make photos or videos. Check my Seoul - Warsaw video on 787-9. I sat in the same row, maybe there will be more to see

Thanks for watching! Wine and beer are only complimentary alcoholic drinks available in Economy class on long-hauls. Spirits are available only in the buy-on-board menu. And yes, because I lost some shots (I shoot a meal service by phone only), I didn't show the second meal service (as I wrote in my video, been served a meal box with a sandwich and yoghurt).
