Can never understand why people have small suitcases as hand luggage - is it necessary or a pathetic status symbol? I've flown all round the world for work and a small shoulder bag is always plenty.
Oh and also: people don't like checked in luggage. I try to limit my travel with checked in luggage to a minimum. It costs time and stress (my luggage may get lost)
Alex Northey: Centerline Aviation This is bang on- tui only allow one hand luggage case per person and no additional personal item so for the first time this year I will be taking a suitcase on board to house all of my photography equipment and another member of my party will have a suitcase onboard that contains his medical equipment for the other end. Nothing to do with status and simply due to the bag space each passenger needs in my opinion
We are booked to go on 30th December 2020 (Subject to the Coronavirus). Looks a nice plane, but think BA 777s premium look a little better than this. Still, we look forward to it anyway. Thanks for sharing the video.
Good vid, we went Premium Gatwick to Mauritius (1D,E&F) in May this year and even though it was £1500 for the 3 of us, we thought it was worth it and have booked the same seats for Mexico in March. Thanks
Thanks Gary. You are the second person saying that and I wanted to but on my footage I can hear only people talking in the background. It was very quiet there.Don't forget we were sitting in the first row. Thanks for watching. I watched your video and I agree that is really something when it is takeoff.
Great video but as a pilot I would not recommend taking you socks of as you wouldn't believe how dirty the floors and and Incase of an emergency you would rather have your shoes on
Yes. If you knew how incredibly dirty aircraft carpets and floors are, you're risking your health too. For the people who go into the toilets barefoot - that's not water you're standing in...
Thank you so much for your video. Love all the details you put into it, and the slow pace of it. Were going from Manchester to Punta Cana next year in premium club. Tried to get the seats you have but all booked up so were on row 3. Cant wait for your next holiday airport video ;)
I liked the video, I've just been to cancun myself but on the Thomas Cook A330-200 in there premium economy, complete waste of money, won't fly with them again, would you recommend premium economy for the dreamliner?
Thanks Wayne. Yes I would recommend Thomson Premium Club.We got a great service during our flight.I guess if You can justify the money You spent on it then it is worth it.
I think for starter would have been the prawn salad and the cheese would have been after the dessert of the cake it all depends on the way you perceive a meal should be eaten British way or new aged travellers.
We're flying from Manchester to Cancun on the Thomson Dreamliner flight 172 in premium club:) in a few weeks:) watching this makes me wish it was this week, great video:)
Hi Csaba were flying premium with tui in 2019 says were on the 787 when i go on the maps it shows 7 rows do you know if there is legs rests in row 1 we have booked 1A-1C there and back, I see you have B787-8 so not sure if it would be the same plane were flying from Manchester also.
How did you find these seats? Pleasant overall? I have not long booked the exact same seats to head to CUN in May. having previously flown in economy for that distance i decided to upgrade. Do you think it was worth it?
Hi Dean . The seats are great, plenty of space and easy to get out if You want to walk around a bit.I never flown in economy on that plane so I don't have a base to compare them. Many don't agree with me here but I think it is worth it . We enjoyed our flight both ways, the food was ok and these seats comes with unlimited drinks as well.
Lovely, obviously cause its a tad extra i Just wanted to make sure if everything else was worth it. Thanks for your help and thanks for posting this video.
Upgrading is more money but if you add up the lounge the extra weight for luggage premium security the glasses of bubble etc they really are excellent value but the best bit for us is 2 toilets between just 47 people rather than 4 toilets for 180 enjoy your flight
Going premium on the Dreamliner in august and can choose seats just now and can't decide to take the first row in premium ( exact seats u have ) or the very last row with no1 behind us, did you have a window at your seat ? And we're the TVs a bit of a pain in the arse the way they were ? A would imagine because there not in the seat in front of u that would be annoying ? Look forward to hearing from you
Hi Gary. Yes we had a window but I think every row had one. I had no problem with the location of the tv. In the other rows if the person front of You moving the the back of their chair You need to adjust the viewing angle on the tv otherwise I did not see anyone had problem whit that. The first row will give You the most space.
Hi guys great video, just a quick question do you know if the arm rest on the outside of the seats lift up at all? Only we have those exact same seats 1J & 1G (This might be the 787-9 model now it is 5 years in the future) Only asking as one of our party is very large and worried about the actual seating space so is wondering if the arm rests lift up to avoid being wedged in. Thanks guys 👍
I went on a lively dreamliner to Cancun ,tui replaced our flight back to Birmingham with a crappy airplane used for 2or3hr flights with little amount of room a couple of inches for your legs and no standing, seatbelt sign on for eight and quarter hrs.very little fluids about a litre in 10hrs.rude staff who didn't speak to you in English, food still cold only half warmed up.2 meals only not eaten.no drinks hot ,cold or alcohol or food for sale on board.so if you go on this nice plane don't except less coming home😀
Is it worth it once you are inside the plane? is the food better? Its about 250 each for us to upgrade from regular but wondering if its worth it! could you recline enough to get propper sleep?
Only real problem we had with premium bulkhead seats was that they made us fold the screen away half an hour before landing which was a bit annoying as we were row 1 centre three so nothing to look at apart from the bulkhead, nice to be able to stretch your legs right out though, that was when people didn't decide it's a convenient short cut to the toilet .
I’m going on the same flight as you, to the same hotel. Was wondering if you had a chance to see the extra leg room seats? Or are they counted as ‘premium’?
Not a patch on the Premium lounge in Birmingham, food, decor etc. Thomson upgrade slightly better than B.A whose staff thought one whisky and soda was enough for anyone on a 9 hour flight judging by the looks I received when I asked for a second and no, I had not been drinking prior to take off.
Suplee we flew economy on our last two trips, the food is better than we have previously had when flying but it is the basic plastic forks and comes in cardboard boxes which is fine. The entertainment is exactly the same as Premium and there is more legroom than most flights. You obviously dont get free access to an airport lounge but they are cheap enough anyway. The seating is 3x4x3. first time we flew we were lucky enough to book the only two seats together at the rear of the plane, tried to book the same seats the following year but the plane we were flying on did not have the option but we still sat in the rear seats as we get served first and you can catch the crew on the way back also, lol. Drinks are still free but not free flowing like they are in Premium but you can go to the rear galley and get your own, they did stop drinks appx 1.5 hours before landing in Gatwick but I think that depends on the crew. We are flying Premium this year, the only reason being, last year a rather large gentleman was sat next to me on the way home, I dont mind sitting by anyone but he took over my seat also (i am 5ft and 8 stone so i am not large) he didn't mean to but he had no option, it was the most uncomfortable flight I have ever had. If we could guarantee the 2 seats together we would hapilly stay in economy, hope this helps 😁😁
chris winter There is one power outlet to every seat. It is front of the middle armrest. I never used it but I have seen people charging their phones and tablets with it.
It's not. Though for TUI passengers (who have very likely never used real premium lounges) this is great for them. Free drinks, food, tea/coffee, and the chance to tell their friends "We're Going Premium". To them it's worth it. Congrats to TUI for knowing your passenger profile so well 😉
For a package holiday company and charter airline, this is the best in the business. Just look how full it is. TUI have done a great job of knowing exactly what their passengers will like.
@@ianholden7 Nope 😊 I'm TUI Cabin Crew, and have been flying for 17 years. I would miss my all inclusive exotic trips, my wonderful friends, free travel, and the MONEY, too much. 😉😅 I will definitely not be going to live in Dubai, in an Emirates building flat-share with foreign strangers, or be willing to work for the tiny amount of time off they get, very short trips, and very rude passengers. I'll be sticking with my happy passengers, my 7 night St Lucia trips, 5 night Phuket's, week long Barbados, Aruba's, etc etc, and the rest of the Caribbean, US, Canada and Asia, thank you 😎
@@ianholden7 I'm trying to say that TUI, which has taken incredible care of me and all my colleagues, given us wonderful trips all over the world, with a much higher number of days spent "downroute" (number of nights spent in our All Inclusive resorts on trips. (The best travel company to work for in the UK I believe) and dramatically above average time off at home, all within a 20 minute commute from my home to my airport base. When I hear the wonderful comments from our passengers as they are leaving the aircraft, gives a real sense of pride. "I love my job" is a phrase that you will only hear TUI and Virgin Atlantic employees say in this country. Feel free to message me. I like a good convo and you seem ideal 😊
