Strange law in the USA that a man who's not the father would be financially responsible because his name is on the birth certificate. In Canada we don't do that. Maan doesn't sign it, woman just tells them who the father is. And only the biological father is responsible financially no matter who she writes on the birth certificate. They don't actually sign the birth certificate. They sign what is called a Voluntary Acknowledgement of Paternity. They are signing a contact that states they acknowledge they are the father (rather biological or otherwise) and that they accept the responsibility of caring the child. It is a legally binding contract.

Men understand the decision tree. Want to stay and plant the seed inside the woman. They are choosing in decision making etc. is out the window. The only thing he has a choice to make is the sign and not sign. If he signs without knowing for sure that that’s his child that is his responsibility. Just like any other contract. You’re supposed to know what you’re signing. If you’re being reckless with your seat. You should handle signing your signature on a birth certificate less reckless and you are with your seat until you know for sure the child is yours.

In the second case, I do not blem the mother thinking her baby might not be her's. Cause it DOES actually happen to alot of new mothers and fathers, more often then people think happens. So I can honestly believe she was legit in her doubt.
