Too many men run away from it or let the woman make the excuse when they should be trying to get that test any way possible. 22 years wasted going back and forth and arguing and forming a bond with a child not his.

He could have felt deep down maybe she wasn't really his daughter. I hope she had caring adoptive parents. One thing is. Mr Tucker was on the bc why or how could they take away his parental rights. That's a big deal in court, and they don't do that without a good reason unless he signed off.

Without knowing ALL of the details regarding this situation if the young lady can forgive the man for not being there she should work on forgiving her mom as well. People make mistakes, poor judgement and it is not necessary to keep someone under the weight of that transgression especially if they are sincere in their apology desire to be forgiven. The young lady doesn’t realize she is not only holding her mom hostage to the past she is holding herself as well. She will never be able to rectify, change her past so being bitter making sure she let her mom know how much she hates what happened or didn’t happen is not going to do anything for her. It is a given what transpired in her life happened and that there were disappointments a plenty but recalling what happened is one thing but still feeling those some emotions as when it happened only stagnates her growth. She has a son and for whatever reason she is not with her sons dad and it may come a day when her son will question the why. It is sad that her mom had drug issues and went to jail. She doesn’t necessarily have to have a relationship with her mother but she does need to choose to be free of the bitterness that affects her now.

You are 100% correct. Men get talked about like dogs but nobody treats mothers that way. You never hear about a deadbeat mother you never hear about women who sleep with six or seven different men while they pregnant getting called out. I seen a paternity court episode where a woman had a man paying child support in two different states and he wasn't even the father and I seen another episode where they had a woman that had multiple men paying child support and none of them were the father either and no one called her out

I have seen too many episodes where the woman says "If you wanted to know you would pay for it, " and it just doesn't sit well with me. If there is any question to begin with let's do it at birth. That will clear everything up and its cheaper.

If he really wanted to be there for his child - especially if he's refusing to do anything for a child without a dna test first, - then why would he allow his child to spend another day depraved of a father? By refusing to pay for the test, it doesn't show good faith that he wanted and intended to provide for his child if the child is in fact his. Edit: I cannot, in good conscious NOT tell my male family members in paternity dispute situations that a $400 DNA test is cheaper than child support, default judgement, wage garnishments, arrears, & jail for a child that turned out to not be theirs. Pick your battles wisely - a dna test is not the prudent time to go 50-50 with a hoe. If he knows that she's pregnant, then he needs to be saving that paternity test money (& take her to court if she refuses to have the baby take the test) because if he's not the father, that proof legally protects him. Therefore, paying the full cost for the paternity test asap (instead of delaying or not taking the test over the belief that someone else should contribute to or subsidize the tab) is money well spent.

However I do not understand why the court did not order a paternity test when the mother said he was a possible of two fathers. I was a ward of the court in California myself and a teenage mother, after my baby was born was ward by default because I was pretty young, and when my own aunt brought the question of my sons father up in court (she thought she could get custody if he was proven not to be the father even though he swore to God and back that he was the only one I was with which is true) the court issued a court ordered paternity test and the court paid for it.

Surprised that the judge didn't acknowledge Mr Tucker. Men don't always get a fair chance especially when they don't find out early with a child is their seed. He did attempt to get her once her trouble mother didn't do right but got no credit for the half attempt. Just ignored. Disappointing. But I guess his lesson would be to do a test before accepting responsibility. I agree with making should before they sign birth certificates and if you didn't sign make it mandatory. As the saying goes momma baby daddy maybe... 👨
