Check out what the work he did bringing up NXT. While Vince was fucking up RAW and Smackdown, Trips made NXT the brand to watch for years to the point that more than five years ago people were clamoring for Vince to hand the company to Hunter just because of the steps he took in creative in NXT. Surprisingly Vince actually did do that but not before driving half the fans away from the brand, but everyone is hoping that Trips will bring the brand back up to the heights it once had been

I remember watching the very first live Raw show, in the UK. It was October 2004 at the MENA Arena in Manchester. I went with a huge annoying Man Utd fan & me being an Arsenal fan, it wasn't easy being in the car with him lol. But after watching the likes of Evolution, Randy Orton on his own, HBK, Edge, Jericho and Kane that night and thanks to William Regal as well. My mate actually shut up! 😂. He said that the atmosphere was better than any Man United game on a champions league night!. Ppl were dressed up as Ric Flair, Mick Foley and a very skinny Hulk Hogan, giving us all entertainment during the breaks in between matches. Triple H made me laugh that night by saying "I don't want to wrestle in front of all those sheep sh*ggers!" 😂 It was awesome! Thanks to WWE and to the fans for that night!

@corneliussmiff2773
@corneliussmiff2773 Год назад

@@corneliussmiff2773 so the racial shit, pitting the Nation vs the Hart Foundation, Shawn literally laying down for Hunter for a main event on Raw, Survivor Series Screwjob, using Harvey to make fun of Rude, using a midget to make fun of Bret, showing the curtain call during an in ring promo segment on Raw, suck it, the first Hell in a Cell, none of that was Attitude? @corneliussmiff2773
@corneliussmiff2773 Год назад
@@ComaAlpha When did I say it wasn't? Those were the foundations and proto stages but it had not yet been fully implemented across the entire product from TV and branding. I was merely saying that a logical starting point would be the night after WM14 where so much changed occurred. It's no surprise that a fortnight later the scatch logo was rolled out for the first time. As we know these things are not light switch moments, they are a gradual thing. I firmly believe that WM14 - WM17 is a reaonsable way to bookend the era.

Yes but these were not clearly define start and end points. Who would you say was the poster child for that era? Steve Austin. But to me the Biggest/Greatest accomplishment of his is the Fact that Motorhead not Only penned The Game(Which I have for my wake up alarm, because when we go to Work we are Literally Playing the Game!! It's not about our Performance, Attitude or attention to detail but how We Play the Game!!) Also The King of Kings and Evolution!! Not to mention the DX theme!) He's definitely someone I would like to meet in person, already met Nash and seriously when we had a picture taken I put my hand on his back and could feel a ridge from I'm thinking a serious back surgery, but at 6'1" and 270lbs he made me look like my son next to me back then! I haven't watched Raw or anything for quite a few years now but still wish I would've tried because I Know I could've been another Stone Cold Or TRIPLE H! Because I Play The Game on a Whole Different level and every place I've worked at I've been a difference maker because when my last job the Big Boys in Atlanta knew Me over how many Thousands of workers GPC had at the time I was(as I was told) unknowingly being brought up at their meetings.

I'm surprised Levesque didn't say it here, but the WWE has always had an "us against the world" quality inherent to its makeup and, in the Nineties,. Stone Cold was the hard-ass every-man and that connected with people, but Degeneration X was like a bunch of punks without the mohawks who were just trying to turn the establishment (even if it was the established paradigm of performance in the WWE) on its ear, tag it with dayglo paint and giggle that they'd bucked the system. Against a lot of kids connected with that.

I don't know why HHH didn't say the military person's name - it's Lacey Evans. She's been very vocal and very open about her childhood and her struggles, and WWE hasn't been shy in using that as part of her character.

You got to understand also that the industry was moving to that!! Nu-metal came out and it was all about rebelión (live it was the best) and DX and Stone cold represented that on the wrestling world

Triple H, Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Kane, and Mick Foley are a special breed. We will see good and great wrestlers in the future, but we will NEVER see a group of guys like them again. Once in a lifetime Gotta include Bret Hart as well. The best there was, is, and EVER will be!

The Rock vs HHH was the best rivalry of the Attitude era IMO Stone Cold was baby face, so when Rock and Stone Cold had their rivalry it was mixed emotions because both were baby face, whereas HHH you knew he was the main heel. Shoutout to Kurt though, he was the guy you loved to hate,

The Kliq almost drove WWF out of business in the 90s. Everyone remembers the DX Army stuff because WWE today is into revisionist history and history is always written by the victors. But had Paul's friend Michael Hickenbottom not been injured/too messed up on drugs to continue, Stone Cold doesn't get put over and we don't get Austin or The Rock as main event guys in the WWF. In the beginning, even more so than the NWO, Degeneration X were heels. Nobody cheered those guys. One of the main reasons Paul Levesque is where he is right now is because he stayed sober and learned how to politic from his buddy HBK. Shawn had the politicking down, but he couldn't stay sober and his style of wrestling wasn't sustainable and he got himself seriously injured. Jim Cornett e put it best: HHH was the guy that worked with the guy that drew the money. He was a good heel for the top babyfaces who carried the company. And then when Stone Cold basically retired in 2002, The Rock went off to be a Hollywood action star and Undertaker started to feel his then over decade long career, there weren't many guys left and that's how you got the Reign of Terror. The lane was completely empty for HHH to step in and be the top babyface and then back to heel because that didn't work long term. If we've learned anything from his career, it's that Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold and The Rock were all amateurs when it came to playing politics. Most guys tried in one way or another to manipulate the boss. This guy knew that the key to everything was through the boss's daughter. Obviously he had talent and ambition, but if you go back to the Attitude Era, until it was well over, he was basically and 2nd tier guy who, because of his position as leader of Degeneration X, slotted in as a heel and got to work with the top guys. There were plenty of midcard guys back then who could have been better workers, heel and babyface, but he played the game better than anyone else. And it's led to 20 years of basically garbage WWE television.
