You can pick the stand up in the map, so you don't have to move if you don't want to

I play on hiker mode and I'm not ashamed of it lol. it's the mode I get the most enjoyment. but twice now I've had a badger try to climb the steps on my tripod and he made it up to the 3rd step he was very determined.

@bumblewoot the badger climb the stand that's in the base game to then fell off. the game is getting to dangerous to play I guess lol. I'm not that old but old enough not to take those type of chances lol.

I do hope they greatly increase the spook range. It's fun to use it as an "over-the-hill-peeker", or placing it to track certain herds, but it's very gamey the way it is atm not spooking anything!

Shouldn't be able to carry 10 either. There should be some downsides to carrying and deployment so they actually required some planning ahead instead of being instant turret of doom

@@bumblewoot well, they are the next best thing to shooting from camera mode 😆 Seriously tho, i can accept the way they work for hiker maybe, but I'm trying to avoid using them for scouting or shooting over a hill/bush. Using them the way the permanent stands are used I'm perfectly fine with tho. I guess the animal density of matariki kinda enhances the arcade feeling tho, just climb in the Tower wherever and you usually have 3-4 herds available for an easy shot

Nice work! I love your videos. Also, chamois is pronounced sha-mee (like the cloth) which is actually the leather from this animal!

Great video!!! I think that the vicinity indicator isn't a bug, I think it is that you are too close and the noise of setting up a tripod will spook the animal. I know that climbing up the ladder on hunting stands can cause the animals to become alert. I did some hunting yesterday and I know you mentioned antlers being off is an indication of low genes, well I come across a white tail with 2 points on one side and 4 points on the other side of his rack and figured he was low genes, he was a 1 star adult, alone, he ended up being 71%. I just thought I would let people know that.

Have you encountered any situations where the big brother was better than the Giraffe? The only thing I can think of is if there is a tree branch in the way but then going down to change stands you could just use that opportunity to move it :p I wonder if the stand can be used to cross short streams he cant quite swim across? like placing the stand in the middle and entering then exit the other side? That's all I've got :p

lol using it to cross streams. I suppose 😄. I can think of no use for the smaller tripod unless you trying to fit it under a tree. I do have an idea for them in an upcoming video 😂

actually, both tripods are valuable a ton... - the tall, silent one is clearly designed for bow/x-bow hunting, which both are sufficiently accurate at their maximum distances - the small, noisy one "SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVES YOUR ACCURACY", making it perfect for long-distance rifle-shots, especially with low-accuracy-guns my standard-set is apexpredator/mannlicher depending on distance, that gun is ethical on ANY class 5 and 6 animal and just does a fuckton dmg, yet at 400+ meters, its lack of pinpoint hits start impacting i'm packin both tripods + the strong binoculars all the time :-D PeacE
