I think because DMB isn't as viral but it definitely is musical. El Step talked about his use of viral songs to play into RU-vids algorithm.. and it worked. Unfortunately, I think he had to sacrifice not playing some of the musical greats like DMB to do it

One of my favorite bands. I have struggled trying to play this song for years. Watching you play this, as hard as you play, and seeing how you played it with a smaller kit turned my light bulb 💡 on. I watched under the table and drumming 25 times in its entirety. also listener supported on VHS a dozen or so. I don't even play drums. i love carter's contribution to dmb. i usually can't even listen to covers or cover bands because he's very difficult to cover imo. this was excellent.

I'm still trying to figure out where this guy came from. Benny Greb is still my favorite drummer, but this guy quickly became the best drummer on RU-vid. He does these fills and double kick (floor tom and kick) patterns like they're nothing.

Great cover, Estepario! you managed to keep that amazing groove! Tripping billies, a song about Dave Matthews' first acid trip. Pay atention to the chorus:"Eat, Drink, be merry, For Tomorrow we die". Live in the moment, my friends. Also this is a trip down memory lane, back when there was no RU-vid, and the only drumming videos you could get where the odd hudson music clips. One of those amazing 240p clips that I watched hundreds of times back in the day was a play along of this track by Carter Beauford.

That was hard to achieve. The mallet belongs to a fellow entertainer who tragically died during quarantine. It's actually a drumstick with a clown nose on top and he gave it to me years ago as a gift. I like to keep it close to find my path when life gets hard. I actually aligned them for this cover since it was a hard one. And this is all true by the way. So, cheers! You found the Easter egg here!
