Actually is Eindhoven a millitary airport with a civil section. I live in the Netherlands and love Eindhoven because it’s so small that baggage handling is much faster there compared to Amsterdam. Also the walking distances are much shorter….
The thought of being able to board an A320 with actual Lauda Air colours already makes me a happy passenger! I often fly FR because they are not only cheap, but also because they offer an amazing array of destinations from the airports nearby. So, while I appreciate them, and the many opportunities they afford people, I have to say they are not the most glamorous of airlines, and their somewhat tacky product and annoying practices do get a bit long in the tooth if you fly them too often.... The very cheap tickets also unfortunately means that you will often end up travelling with noisy, rowdy, misbehaving people.... That is in the very nature of 'everything cheap' and is all but unavoidable these days...
Two competitors at the same airport. If the planes were cartoon characters, they would be giving each other the stink eye, like "What are you looking at, punk?" LOL 🤣
02:33 Sometimes, I am kinda sad that my height is just 5'7" as an Asian. But then I realize I always enjoy better knee room on airplane economy class seats even on LCCs with tight legroom 😄😄😄
Working the last days for Lauda now (11/2021), I would like to point out, that we as a Flight Crew don't get a break throughout a 12h-day AND we don't get the possibility to eat/drink the things we brought from home, let alone to buy something anywhere. We get one 1.5L Bottle of water, which is deducted from the salary. A salary which is not enough to live alone, when you live in Vienna. I will not support this Employer with my workforce anymore. Thankfully there are some rare job opportunities in aviation these days. People are leaving Ryanair/Lauda as soon as they can - they are just unfair and mean to everyone. Think about that, next time. Maybe its better to pay 10 bucks more, but have a well treated crew on board. If you pay less, people can afford less, which comes back to you at the end.
Ohh. Where are you going to go now? Wizz? Austrian? Even though I am not sure Wizz is better then Ryanair. I wish you all the best, that really does not Sound nice...
Great Trip Report, as always David! I just double checked some scenes involving the crew in this video and I am shocked by the attitude and especially the lack of flight safety awareness by the operating cabin crew. Most shocking moment was as the cockpit door was opened and nobody secured the door in any way. That's incredible.
What surprises me is that Lauda still exists because I thought a tragic accident involving one of the planes caused the airline to go defunct. Niki Lauda himself helped with the investigation of that crash
Lauda Air existed many more years and had been changed to FlyNicki later. Flynicki was bought by AirBerlin which unfortunately went into bankruptcy so they tried to safe flynicki by founding the brand Laudamotion. Later Ryanair took over the Lauda branding.
Always when you expect worse it won't be as worse you expected and vice versa that's the way budget airways operate.... Anyways awesome trip report david..Hoping to see many more videos from you
In Hindi (biggest language of India) “lauda” means your main point…. Not many Indians will be flying in this lol ( I’m sorry for any inappropriate words… it’s for the memes and I don’t mean any harm to anyone or Ryanair. It’s just a funny name.)
I really salute to you David. Around Sept. 2020, Covid situation starting getting worst. You still dare to take off your mask and enjoying hotmeal inside aircraft.
From Austria to the Netherlands is a 1hr 30mins flight? Wow what a very short flight. Perhaps it would have been better if both countries come together and become one.....lol.
Ryan air is much better than wizz air cause wizz air does hard landings and when your in the air when your supposed to be cruising the ride is very bumpy and they only have Airbus a320s neo so ima spread the word to Americans and Asians and Africans that they should chose Ryan air over wizz air
Nice vlog...but I dislike airlines like Ryanair, Wizz etc...they might be cheap but its the employees who pay the price! Exploiting employees is never a sustainable business model...I would rather stay at home before I would board one of those airlines...think twice before you support them...
Most of the original Lauda crew was fired in 2020 just because they didnt wanted to work for 780 EUR. Nowadays all Lauda crew are exploited by ryanair. If you fly with this airline you support that madness! BOYCOTT ryanair forever!
