These storage boxes are actually so useful. You can simply put smaller objects inside so you don´t have to bother your neighbour. I always feel a bit bad when the person next to me has to get up because I need something from the overhead bin

I flew this same flight in 2018. It was my first flight on the A380 and I must say it was one of the most comfortable flight among all the flights I have flown
The A380 is also quiet in the front! Back in December, I flew an Emirates A380 in Economy from Dubai to Los Angeles and oh boy the takeoff was so quiet

The length of the take off run is like "if the runway is there why not use it all" right? I miss flying whith Qatar and the boarding music is so calming.
I'm guessing the A380 will remain in QR's fleet through the end of 2022, just in case any foreign fans actually show up for the World Cup in December and additional capacity is needed (highly unlikely).
The most recent of all of my flights, Doha to Perth in Sep 2019 before COVID-19 descended upon us all, was aboard not only an A380, but this very aircraft, A7-API. Although I had to make do with a lower deck seat between the aisles, it was a very pleasant flight with excellent service. And I didn't really miss out on anything by not having a window seat, because almost all of the flight was over ocean, much of it in the dark. It's great to see A7-API back where it belongs, in the air. I really hope that QR returns the rest of its A380s to service, and resumes flying them to Perth as well.
@@Airshiw QR will be resuming A380 services to Perth on 6 Dec 2022. As for why QR needs to operate two A380 services to Australia, the answer is that QR can sell all the seats on A380 flights between Doha and Perth. Also, Sydney and Perth are a long distance apart: similar to the distance between Paris and central Africa.
I recently flew Qatar from Cape Town to Istanbul. The mask mandate was simply not enforced. Also, cabin crew simply could not control passengers to remain in their seats. I waited to speak with captain after flight. He agreed, and claimed he would take this up with management. I cannot imagine how the cabin crew would manage an emergency or evacuation.
Did you know when you booked that the a380 would be used, or was it a change they sprung on you at the airport? Did the airline offer you the chance to switch flights, in order to fly on a more desirable plane ?
