Wow, the view from that train ride, amazing! I never really had any desire to go to Alaska since I'm from Washington State and thought that it wasn't all that different with the same green trees, mountains, bears, fish, etc., but after watching a couple of your videos, it really is! So expansive, wide, tall, green and Beautiful! We will be putting that one on our travel list. Loving your Alaska videos and all your humorous banter too. Fun getting to see Tori moving into the dorm too...lol...bigger than the rv!

LOL!!!!! OMG...so funny! Ya'll are adorable. It's the same in my house. My husband can scramble eggs and usually toast bread, but no joke that is IT. My children are only 4 and 1, so I haven't left them with him over night yet, but when I do there will be completed frozen meals with labels and post-its all over the house, lol! BTW, thank you for your inspiration! We are from the South and we just took our first family adventure trip. 10 days in Sedona Az and the Grand Canyon West. The kids were awesome on the flights and our 4yo really surprised us at how well she did with everything. We can't wait to see the world with them.

Married almost 30 yrs. Stipulation must know how to cook. Every time husband makes bacon eggs toast for breakfast in any variation his meal goes missing as he watches it mysteriously floats to the table. 4 children. If you going to cook make sure there's enough for everyone.

I think this "might" be a guy thing. I LOVE to cook and experiment with new recipes often. (Point being that I'm very familiar with the kitchen.) That said, I do sometimes get distracted and must admit, "I've pulled this bone-headed stunt on a few occasions." LMAO. (Oh! I've also gotten VERY good at dodging those pesky sharp knives when they go on the attack and jump off of the countertop.) THOSE suckers should learn manners. haha

We were the same way. It took us a couple years to get our ducks in a row. That's an important piece. Going too soon might not provide the same experience. We listened to a lot of podcasts (including our own) to help give us ideas and keep it real.

Before you turn your boys loose on the world you should make sure they can cook their own meals, wash their own clothes, handle their own bills, etc. They should also know how to handle a hammer and a saw, with a screwdriver and wrench thrown in for luck. They are great kids, and you're giving them an education that is phenomenal, but they also need to learn practical things that they'll use for the rest of their lives.

My favorite Seward History story: There is a high security Prison on the other side of the bay. One time, (quite a while ago,) someone escaped. They ALSO managed to get across/around the bay to the the city on the other side, where they robbed a house and stole a tent, some camping gear, and bunch of booze. Next they climbed the mountains heading toward what would be Anchorage, only to find the Harding Ice Field atop.... a glacial field the size of Connecticut. Whatcha gunna do? Guys sets up the tent and proceeds into the liquor. Too bad he had stolen an Emergency Orange tent and was now a missing fugitive camped very conspicuously on a completely white ice field. Needless to say he was captured quickly.

When someone does something purposely bad so they won’t have to do it again it’s called “Tom Sawyering”. My wife did it to me from the beginning with dishes but I was too stupid to recognize what she was doing. So I have been doing the dished for all of our 30 year marriage. So now when we suspect that might be happening we say “ don’t Tom Sawyer me”. lol Nice job Marc.

I totally identify with Mark.... When my wife and/or mother leave town, I drop about ten pounds... I love food, I just don't have any cooking talent... You guys are so inspirational. I took my wife, kids and nieces and nephews on a hike to a nearby mountain forest, and they all loved it. Next outing will be out on a boat in the ocean....

My fiancée have spent the last 6 months apart, besides a week here and there. But I just traveled to Florida to pick her to move out to Colorado with me. I’m so excited to have her next to my side full-time again! I see how it can be without Trish! My fiancée and I have been together for almost 6 years and originally moved in together after being together for 6 months.

I hope this was for a side of humor. Otherwise it is pathetic if he cannot even take care of his kids for a couple days, very sad not funny. I raised 3 type A wild child kids and full time job of 50-60 hours a week. The hardest part was the men getting mad because their wives would tell them they where pathetic if they could not do it a day and then the men hate me for making them look bad. A little comedy can be funny but I hope you can actually be a man and take care of your family when needed. For gods sake your wife replaced the truck battery.

Hi guys, just curious was Trish signing ASL (I love you) to you from the train, as well as everyone in the purple T's. It caught my attention as my wife learned sign language a few years ago and we sign each other as we depart every day.

Trish was fluent in sign and did speech pathology during college. Now that you know, you'll see her sign out of habit, but she isn't fluent anymore. The college looked very familiar - but it's the "lopes" like the Antelope.

Trish, can you direct me to the best resource( video, blog, whatever) that will tell me what I need in my RV kitchen. We are starting the purge and selling it all to full time. We have never even slept in an RV but confident we can do it😀 I cook all or meals at home like you do and need to know what is realistic for two people. How often do you use your oven? What will fit in an RV oven in terms of pan size? I fell in love with an older Jayco fifth wheel that looks new but has no oven. I wonder if it would be hard to install one. Do RV ovens cook well? Thank You for your help😀❤️

We are not full time, but I would advise you to get nesting bowls and dishes. Camp Chef makes an outdoor kitchen with an over. I would recommend investing in your outdoor cooking more than indoor. Rv life is community

I'll mention this to Trish and we'll make a video. She uses her oven all the time (it's not great) but has a trick to it that I'm pretty sure she mentioned in an upcoming video. Trish cooks all the same dishes as when we were at home, but uses only the most essential tools. She uses a small Le Creuset frequently.

My suggestion: you don't need anything that only does one thing. You only need one wooden spoon, a fork per person, etc. We traveled in our pop up camper for 2 1/2 years (in a custom remodeled one) and still managed a blender and stand mixer :)

You may not need a standard oven if you have a microwave with convection oven. Our RV doesn't have a traditional oven, and I will admit that when we started full time in February I was scared to use it. But I quickly learned I can cook/bake everything in it that I did at home for our family of 5. Even bread and all my traditional 'oven' foods come out great in the convection oven. Also we often use an instant pot. Have fun as you begin your journey!

Ok so I am looking at the specks on the f350 to 450 to me it looks like a 350 has a higher payload. Am I looking at things right? If so why would a person buy a 450?

I should have pre-watched this video before letting my husband see it. LOL Now he will be looking for a menu any time I leave him and the kids alone in the RV. :) Absolutely gorgeous footage as usual.

Omg, what a funny video. I recently did a similar meal plan for my boyfriend when I had to go out of town. He ate takeout every day, for 11 days!!! The reason scenery was amazing!

When my wife takes off somewhere for a weekend or something, I have 2 options. Pizza pub half a mile from the house or crock pot. 9/10 its the pizza pub.

Professional tip.......meal prep your food for the week, use individual dinner sized Tupperware to portion meals. If someone is hungry they can just grab a meal and heat it up. 2 meals for 4 days....8 meals per person......less waste and cost. Trish you've got that....seriously thought you where a pro when I started watching, you know flavors and are major passionate. Love watching you guys!.
