Nate, please don't ever cease your efforts at exposing truth. Truth is the only "natural resource" that, by definition, is immutable. Never question the viability of your own heart. Your instincts are 100% valid. Totally appreciated. Refreshingly genuine.

Wow. Talking about the asymmetry is brilliant. I am only at the start of my listen and already worried and excited at the same time...

Shades of "The Technological Society" by Ellul. It's not just social media that wields asymetric power, it is basically ALL technology.

You can use social media strictly for business, and avoid its damaging effects.

If your closest friends are all on Instagram you should be able to communicate with them in other ways. The key here is to be comfortable being alone. The better you are at being alone, the better your thinking and the more self-sufficiency you develop. The Las Vegas clock meme is false. Everyone wears a watch.

All of our contemporary neuropathies and dysfunction can be attributed to over-population. From environmental degradation to frantic media intrusion, to government propaganda, to even the pathetic state of our education system. They are all aspects of more and more people to trying to get a bigger piece of the ever-dwindling "pie" in any manner they can think of. Cutthroat competition rather than cooperation is the ultimate source of everything from egregious income disparities to never-ending warfare.

The "pliability of human perception" is an ominous facet of contemporary society. Edward Bernaise's influence on life in the 21st century may prove to be more insidious than anyone could have ever imagined.

Love Tristan's arguments, informative and powerful. Can you please do a video on Daryl Davis? It would be a ray of sunshine and a practical strategy.
