I personally love this performance. Regarding the comments about her singing out of tune, one thing to keep in mind about performing live is that it’s very hard to be in tune if you can’t hear the rest of the band and/or you can’t hear yourself. It’s possible that’s what was going on here. Also, harmonizing with another singer is virtually impossible if you cannot hear one another. Just a thought. From personal experience, not being able to hear everything while performing live is much more common than being able to hear well.
Yeah, also it's really good in its own right and some of the commenters should get a life or at least have a cup of tea instead of doing whatever they think they're doing.
Makes you love the recorded version even more. Must not be an easy song to sing naturally. We gotta stop holding singers down to the level where their live performance matches the recorded version otherwise we'd be missing out on a lot of great music. Also, could she LOOK more CUTE rocking her seemingly average sounding girl voice!? This is pure art.
Tristen - this song is really good, well written and a nice bridge - I love the guitar work buddy is doing here and the harmonies you have with Jordan. Your performing has improved a lot in the last couple years - keep going!! However, the green sparklies don't work IMHO. Looking forward to the rest of C A V E S.
Wow...Has their spontaneity gone bananas? She is a great songwriter/singer and they are dressed like iCarly cast... no need for that, your music is amazing!
Good performance, weak sound mix. Appreciate the effort truly but dang - that lone tele trying to carry the "big single" sound live isn't cutting it out there by itself.
She's trying to be arty, but this is fairly mediocre/amateurish sounding for an artist of some apparent notoriety. If she were 50 pounds heavier she wouldn't draw any attention.
The vocals aren't terrible, I overstated it. But they're just not very good. She misses many notes in the transitioning/bridging between registers. Passaggio i think is the fancy name. You can be a fan and notice the imperfections - it's really ok
