Like the concept quite a bit! The trailer seemed to show quite a bit of lag when it comes to synchronization of the player and their weapon models in mixed reality. Is that just an artifact of recording? Do the weapons feel responsive when actually playing?
The real-life mode's technology does lag behind your movements by about 0.1s (and there's also WIFI lag too which can make movements seem jittery). While it seems like an issue in the trailer, it's pretty much unnoticeable while you're actually playing.
@TetraStudiosDev thanks for the response! Seeing things like this that might actually be able to push mixed reality from a gimmick to an actual game is awesome. Always hesitant to pick it up because it's new tech.. but if it feels good while playing it, might have to give it a try!
Wow this is so impressive!!! Is it possible to make this playable on a quest 2 an use an environment created 1:1 in unreal engine and run it via virtual desktop?
I have Quest 3 and an old Quest 2 , like I think many people who upgraded. It would be cool if you added this option to import the environment in the future. Or maybe Quest 3 could share the environment with Quest 2 in the same game?
This looks so sick, just went to quest store for this. Question though. If my friends are on Quest 2 can we play real life mode together (and they just see everything grayscale) or is 2 only immersive mode?
