Hi, Finding a good basis takes a long time and it seems to get more difficult. Triumph is at least in Germany very popular nowadays. Took me 10 month screening every possible source to find the frame. Best of luck and keep looking. One day you find a perfect one!
Thanks guys! It took 12 month of stolen time, nightshifts in the Garage and during day time checking for parts and stuff. Tank is Cole Foster. You can get it at different places. It becoming very popular. Cheers 🍻
Thanks and yes! I could never build a bike like Dan, but I love the Bike Low Tide Larry from Angry Monkey and got inspired. So one day I though what the heck, I try. What the stretch is I don't know. Its a really old hard tail I got with the bike, which was pretty much saved from a junk yard.
Hi, sorry for coming back late. Of course, just write if you hv a question. I am just traveling a lot and not always online. The oil filter bracket is from w&w cycles in Germany. The filter is a high flow truck filter. You hv to check what you find locally. Just make sure it's without any pressure valve. Cheers
Well, i would have loved to have an original springer but I could not find one and the prices are just stupid!. But the Ride is good. And if you dont like a little movement, you can fix a shockabsorber. drive tops 110 km/h and there it is good. The oil tank is hand make in the US by curbside customs. Check the website. Stainless polished. Very detailed and perfect make.
Hi toby3482, yes, the bikes from Dan were my inspiration. I love the design from Low Tide Larry and tried my best to build one myself, with a few changes and the limitations of my abilities. The front drum is the original and I wanted to keep it. Thanks Frank
Danke!
Hi frank could u pleas make a little vid of the front brake setup Showing the front brake stay how u set it up I'm struggling to get mine to work properly with triumph hub and Dna springer Cheers
Hi there. Unfortunately I am for a while not in my place and the bike is wrapped and stored. It works just like a original drum brake for the springer. The brake stay is the biggest headache. In the end I used a double ball joined fixed at the big arm of the fork, it is about 3 inches log. MOT tested it and approved. Sorry mate, in about 6 weeks I am back. Cheers
Ok thanks mate I think uv done a awesome job uv capture that look (low and low) me and a friend are doing garage builds our self with two t120 and are going for this look were did u get that tank from cheers
Ok thanks anyway I think I'm just going to go disc front end I'm a bit over it lol But check my channel I just uploaded a vid of my bike finished check it out 👍🏻

hi again i was gunner order the dna springer front end with 4' under but a few ppl have told me bad things about them like they wobble in the headstock how do u find yours and whats it like on the road do u recommend them and is that oil tank from lowbrow customs and can u make a nother vid of the bike as i really like looking as it and its givime my tips for my build cheers lee
Frank, thanks for getting me into Greg Brown's music and through that, Iris Dement and John Prine! Great singer songwriters! For your Motogadget speedo, do you use a sensor on the front wheel or electrical impulse? I will go with a Motogadget speedo but not sure which one yet. Cheers from England!
Christopher Smith Hi and I love that Song :). I use the small sensor on the rear axle and the magnet is fixed on the pinion drive. It is basically invisible. Cable runs incl the number plate cable through the rigid frame. Cheers and hv fn building. Frank
Sehr schöner Bobber! Wie groß ist der Aufwand, wenn du zum TüV musst? Oder gibt's da wegen des Baujahres weniger Probleme? PS: Den Tank im Backofen zu trocknen hat auch was. :)
Hi again frank I have a question for u How did u use the triumph front wheel on the dna springer as I want to keep the triumph hub with 21" wheel Did u change the bearing inside hub to same size and make a new axle to suit with collars in the fork dropouts to suit new axle size As u know the triumph run different size I/d bearing on each side so trying to figure it out how to keep the trumpy hub and not go for a harley wheel and disc front
Hi Toby, I had a spacer turned, which sits between the bearings and has a shoulder where the bearing fits exactly on. The spacer you need anyway, so I had one made in one piece where the bearings fit on
Forgot, that same problem kept me going for weeks, since I as well wanted to keep the old front brake. It maybe a garage solution but works fine for 1600 mls
Hey Frank. I've tried to get in contact with curbside customs, but without any luck. How did you get your hands on the oil tank from them? Great work btw.. Mit freundliche Grüsse
Hey there, sorry, I wasn't online for a while. I have contacted Mike Lerdal via his web side. Hm. Not sure how to contact him otherwise. I used the telephone number and call him. He was short but helpful. However, he was very busy. I had to wait for two month. I cross fingers that you get him on the phone. Cheers
