Honestly, Swiss roads very rarely have potholes. Even on small country lanes. Public infrastructure here is pretty much micro-managed…

@old-n-Goldie I'm sad to see what's happened to your leg, it really brings home that no matter how careful we are there's always someone who'll catch us unawares with their carelessness. It's going to take a while but I really hope it heals well and allows you to continue to enjoy motorcycling in the not too distant future.

Yes, important to keep your spirits up. Can I suggest a nice drop of southern comfort or a hearty bourbon 😁 what bike were you on and did that fair better than your leg? Is the driver of the car hanging from the nearest tree? So many questions 😁 thanks On’G😁

@@TAYM Excellent suggestion, I'm very partial to both bourbon and malt whisky. I was on Al the CCM Spitfire bobber and he came out virtually unscathed, just a scratched silencer, foot peg and damaged bar end mirror. Unfortunately, the leg took the full force of the impact. The ironic thing is the car driver is also a biker! I'm working on a further update for the channel as a lot of people have been asking these questions.

morning TAYM. bananman was spot on with the clothes, thank him for me, bit strange getting onto a bike after 29ish years, just pottering on large estates and car parks till it comes back, loving the scram takes me back to my bsa days :)

Hi Taym , thank you for putting photo of grandson up he is going to be a happy chappy when he sees it , yes hes bike mad , i used to sit him on the tank when he was little and stand up on the Honda Pantheon scooter i had as a run around , so far hes been on a ZZR600 XJ600 the Fazer and a Honda Rebel 250 , have a fab weekend jo

Regarding punctures from nails/screws... vehicle in front hits nail and starts it tumbling down the road, you come along and hit nail just as it's pointing upwards! Your own front tyre can initiate the process of course and that's why you get more rear tyre punctures than front. Marvellous!

Good evening TAYM, thanks for the mention and photos, I've just got back from Scotland, after seeing Coastrider Bruce, I carried on up to Sterling Castle to see Robert the Bruce! I camped at Stirling and had a tour about, went to look at the Wallace monument as well . On my way back I met up with @Ian Hughes and Mrs Ian ,for a brew and a chat over the classic 350's, also wonderful people. My Classic 350 handled the round trip admirably, (743 miles all in ! ) but I'm knackered, but I'll spend tomorrow catching up on all you vloggers episodes that I haven't had time to watch! 😅😅 Cheers Mel 🍻

Lovely mutter isn’t it good to have some sunshine, wen to my moms on the 350 and Tilly my moms dog was very confused looking for my car , she didn’t understand I was there on a motorcycle. I do hope Golden Only will get well soon, it looks very painful.

When I had my crash & was in Hospital a women was in my wing with a leg that looked like Golden Oldies leg.Her & her Husband are farmers & she got out to open the gate & hubby ran her over😁😂🤣.Husband was staying in Hospital too sleeping in Lazyboy & running around after her cause he felt real bad😆😁😂🤣.

More often than not you will pick up a puncture in the rear tyre, I'm pretty sure that you run it over with the front tyre which kicks it up a bit so it can go into the rear tyre !

Never mind nails a friend travelling on his GS up Sutton Bank (you won’t know that it’s in North Yorkshire (🤣) had a Yale key through his rear tyre. Standing up and almost through the tyre! 🙄🤣
