In engineering terms, the machined vent paths would be termed ‘slots or ‘ports’’. ‘Troughs’ are what pigs and Tesla drivers eat from. Not sure I like the dished top, I think it would have looked more in keeping with the profile of the tank if it had a domed top. It would then not hold water after the the bike had been washed or heaven forbid, rained on. Does the 20% power increase count for lawn mowers as well?

The only thing I'd add would be to add blue loctite to the stainless fasteners., and to maybe scribe a mark to check to see if they had loosened when fueling up. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I think its time for Triumph to update the whole Bonneville line. New gen from the ground up, keep what works and improve on others. If they want to keep their premium image then they need to outdo every other modern classic by leaps and bounds

A friend of Elvis Presley bought a new Triumph Bonnie. He took it for a ride, liked it. He called the Triumph dealer and he said he wanted 5 of the same thing for his Memphis Mafia as well as paying his friends bike off.The dealer had to go to 5 other dealerships to get them ready by 5:00. He is more famous for his Harley Davidsons though.

Brilliant fuel cap! I have a RE GT 650 myself, and I’m still in disbelief that nobody seems to make an aftermarket fuel cap to replace the stock locking flip top cap. It seems insane. I’m jus t not a fan of that cap but I can’t find any replacement options that don’t involve serious mods to my tank. If you know of a solution I’d love to hear it. And don’t say buy a Triumph, I love them but I have one already.

I bought a new Triumph Scrambler 1200xe a few weeks ago. The stock fuel filler cap has already come apart while refueling recently. Do these folks make a replacement fuel filler cap for the Scrambler 1200xe? Also, thanks for a great review.

I would like this JETSON cap to be made using brass. I know Motone has a brass cap in their line up, but not the JETSON low profile shape. I have a 2018 T120 in green and white, with gold stripe separating the colors. A brass cap would look perfect.

In these days I can't believe that they don't have locking petrol caps 😮😮😮
