Yes those louvers are original only on the top of the bonnet is the MK1MK to put louvers on the top of the bonnet as well as on the side of the rear wings
A little metal work,,,,,a little body work,,,,fresh paint,,,,a few new parts,,,,and it's a winner!!!!! Nice project steve,,,,,best of luck with it,,,,,
Cheers Doug, it’s a very long term project, Danny has it now for 4 years and nothing’s happened to it, but hopefully the ball will start rolling soon with it now we have the numberplates and documents for it
Have watched this with great interest! as I have a mk1 nearly exactly the same , but at this time have a young family and can not get the time ! but know it is my look forward to getting back to restoration 🤗 love these videos.
Cheers mate, this GT6 I'm working on that belongs to my friend Danny. In 5 years of him owning the car not much has happened, but recently his invested some cash into it, so hopefully at some point 2021 I'd like to get it driving under it's own power 👍
Yeah Gary Bates at TRGB knows his stuff, I've been there a few times. There spares stock is massive!! I use quite a number of Triumph suppliers for spares all depending on what I'm working on
Hi Steve. How is this little gem progressing? If you need to know anything on GT6 ask Jademutley , he IS the man. I.e those louvres are correct. (Pronounced loovers)Maybe he's the man to do the body. I'm still finding video's l've not seen yet so l imagine things have progressed by now. Take care and stay safe.
@@SteveDentonClassics That's a shame but not surprising. Well Jade himself might be interested. Only people like him and l could take this on as we don't charge ourselves. I'm too busy for the next 12 months but.....You never know! Take care and stay safe.
It’s not my car, so I don’t have any say in what happens to it. Dan who owns the GT6 brought it with the idea of restoring it once his TR6 was done. His TR6 is pretty much perfect but so far nothing has happened with the GT6
