Great vid matey. I test rode that very bike july/August time while my trident 660 was in for recall work. Loved it soo much I bought one a few weeks later. Absolutely love it. Loads of character. Great looking bike with bags of torque.

I’ve made a road test on a XC model and I enjoyed a lot the bike. On this Red Apple color as you called, it is a stunning beautiful machine. Although very poor wind protection and luggage capacity, but with some more money , a wind deflector can be of some help and I can see a place on the left side for a soft bag or saddle, so maybe is doable to tour with it, as is fundamental to explore that extraordinary engine. By the other hand, I’ve been thinking about the speed Master, but I’m afraid to feel limited in other aspects, like exploring some light off-road trails, and I’m not sure if I would feel so well, rolling with a bike so low to the ground…I really must take the speed master for a spin and clear my head! This was a very nice video on a relaxed pleasant ride. Thank you.

I think Triumph Scramblers are the most beautiful bikes in the world. Everything I want in a bike. I've only sat on a Street Scrambler and that was not too high with heels. It also felt light, small and unintimidating, even though it wasn't. Candy Apple Red, we call them Toffee 🍎s. It looked delicious with that Suffolk backdrop , thanks TAYM 😊

Gorgeous spot for the walk around! I was impressed with the Big Scrambler when I demo rode it in early June. It handled the gravel roads well and yes, I launched the front of the bike over a jump. I often think about owning one someday, if I ever tire of the 890 Adventure S and Husqvarna 501 this would be a nice way to whittle down the number of bikes in the garage... and I could ride it in a Distinguished Gentleman's Ride ride perhaps?

I used to have the 1200XC Scrambler...lovely bike but definitely felt warm on my leg in traffic which wasnt a massive deal but then my others half said the same thing...sold it a week later! 😂😂

Out of all the big scramblers, this has to be one of my favorites. From owners and reviewers it seems to be the one that's best set up for off pavement riding. As someone that got the DR650 as a small adventure bike because of it's old school feeling, I would likely look at this over a modern ADV to fill that roll 😂. I like what I've seen so far about the new Suzuki VStrom 800DE though.

Morning TAYM . One of these 1200 Scrambler's was going to be my next bike before I spotted the early spy shots and it became apparent they were both going to be tall , serious off-road capable machines unlike the 900 Street Scram. I still don't understand why they don't do a 'Street' version with a lower seat height like the 900 ... I'm sure it would be very popular. Great review 👍😊

Brilliant review as always, I really like this bike and was toying with buying one but eventually settled on my CCM. If the salesman at my local Triumph dealership had shown an interest, I'd probably have on in the garage now but that's a story for another day 😁but who knows what's in store for the future 🤔Cheers TAYM 👍

I was on the washboard road this morning, coming the back roads from Felixstowe! Don't quite know what to make of the 1200 scrambler, It's an acquired taste, a bit like Marmite.(Other brands of savory spreads are available!)

Another lovely looking but tall bike that me & your mate Dave can't ride 🤣Anyway on Friday I went to the Triumph Factory Visitor Experience at Hinckley. It was a marvellous day out and they had some fantastic Triumphs including the James Bond edition, The Tom Cruise Mission Impossible edition even Guy Martin's Rocket powered record attempt bike but I couldn't believe they didn't have a TAYM edition I think Triumph have missed a trick there. I made a little video out of some photos and video that I took which is up on my channel it's a bit rubbish but I had a go 🤣🤣🤣

Oh I was looking forwards to this one, it's a magnificent looking bike and seems to tickle your fancy somewhat 🤔😮😀 I can't wait to see what Mrs TAYM makes of it, I'm keen to know if those high exhausts are a bit hot on her right leg? Also how the seat feels for comfort for a pillion? I sold the big Vulcan 1600 yesterday so the Thunderbird Sport will be singing its way from Wales quite soon 👍😀

Revzilla took one of these on some pretty gnarly forest tracks (not roads). They really rated it. Only thing they criticised was the slightly limited side to side steering lock.

Triumph needs to be consistent. I had a Thunderbird 1600 with self cancelling indicators, I traded it in at 60K miles on a 2022 Speedmaster as I wanted something a little lighter. No self cancelling indicators 😮. Triumph should make them standard across the lineup. P.S. Triumph should update and bring back the Thunderbird.

Great looking bike TAYM to tall for the likes of me , but it is like that for a reason so stand back and admire is all I could do cos I am to old to have leg extensions fitted 😉.I have to say their is nothing I don't like the look of on this one it's just all round nice to look at and even better to ride if ya can .😁If I remember rightly Freddie Dobbs tried of roading on one but had all sorts of problems when he got sort of stuck in the woods because of it's weight but well you know Freddie 😉nice one 👌👍

I own a Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition and for me the only issue is the heat coming from the exhaust during summer.

Tell you what the self cancelling indicators were so good they turned off before you turned left 😂😂 nice looking bike but not my thing as I never venture off road. 😊

Thanks for a marvelous video of a gorgeous looking bike . An impractical choice if you want an all rounder , but we all want different things . I imagine that the indicators [ turn signals ] have a "manual" mode , self cancelling can be a nuisance if you have to wait for a gap whilst trying to turn across the flow of traffic [ dangerous if they self cancel too early ]. Lots of mode choices to confuse the rider , including a unique one to Triumph : "Hills and Mountains" . Sounds a lot better than " off road " which is a tired old cliche . Come to think of it , "Sport" could be called "brown underpants " , "Ride" would be " boring " , "Rain" could be called "ass cheek clencher " . [ Can you imagine the display icons ? ]. For a moment , I thought you had stopped behind FD's Fiat , good idea not to get close and frighten him . He might lose a spark plug . [ oooww Monika ! , our Fiat has done a whoopsy ! ].

Seat height is the same as the old Transalps.. So they are accessible to range of people.. But us we go numbers, my inseam is like yours but I am only 5'9-10 /177 cm with 82 cm (32'') inseam/ I am strange proportion giraffe mutant, I knew it 🦒 .. The bike needs serious extender for the front fender and a sub fender in the back to be practical. You will be soaking on wet roads in this configuration. But otherwise seams to be nice bike. I know, we are all waiting for the 400's to see them what are they like.

TAYM's been nobbled by the marketing people...my 1993 Kwaka GT550 had self cancelling indicators. And a fuel gauge!😂

Very nice bike. Sadly, like most of these it's too tall for PGB Shortarse. I remember watching a video of a bloke who had one of these for a short time but was rather underwhelmed by the performance. Something about at 80mph the performance is lacking for overtaking 😳. I don't know if it was a bit of trolling. He needs an hour on Ernie, that'll recalibrate him 😂 Rozzers with blue lights on? Probably attending to a call where someone's used an incorrect pronoun 🙄

If you‘re on an XE then the seat height is 870mm. The 840mm seat is on the XC
